hello sir, regarding the calculation you made for gp ratio, as far as I am aware operating ratio is different from operating cost ratio and what you have used to solve is operating cost ratio.i solved the question like this :- if we use the formula: operating ratio = COGS + op exps / sales * 100, substitute COGS as 3* operating exp (from operating exp to cogs ratio), we get sales in terms of operating exp i.e around 4.7* op exp. now subtracting sales and COGS we get GP as 1.7 times operating exp, less operating exp to get EBIT 0.7 operating exp and EBIT is Rs 2722500 which gives us value of operating exp 3889286, COGS value 11667858 and sales value 18279644. so the GP would be Rs 6611786 and the gp ratio is 56.6666%. please let me know if this solution is valid and correct me if I have made any mistakes. Sir ebit nikal Raha tha but it took way more time than usual eps wale route se hoke ebit nikalna tha and bad me answers match ho rahe the MCQ k sath...
Sir the Case did blank me but in the end after solving other stuffs i cracked the Case it was a reverse calculation to get EBIT and then add the expansion and the normal calculation and then in last 15 mins i was like lets try it once and then i did get cracked but time was over
