It seems the Gondor Bolt Thrower is really good, but I don't see it in tournament lists very often. Is there a major downside to it that I don't see or why is nobody (except this guy in 2019) playing it with Gondor? It even got better wirh the FAQs (additonal Crew member added). In my games at home, everyone is srtuggling to play against it and it seems to win every match.
Are the pros just better at playing around and against it or why doesn't it turn up in many tournaments? Or is Gondor without it just better?

Comes down to a multitude of factors. In general yes, really top level players know how to deal with it, and to compete at a really high level there are just more optimal builds than the bolt thrower.
It is a very swingy unit that can be very productive or not have much effect. Most top players don't like to use units with such a range of outcomes too.
But it certainly has some powerful roles within certain lists. There's just soo many options in Middle earth haha!

What a slaughter, that bolt thrower killed of 2 guys in the beginning of the game which probably cost you the game.. I thought with Denethor"s death you would manage to get a few more kills. By the way, at 22:46 when you charged I guess you had 2 dies and not only one. But I'm not sure because you were counter charged

Oh Lachieeeee, is this still true? Been rewatching all your Rohan content as I'm considering building a Rohan force myself now with the new Eomer model, and it would definitely be cool to see the rest of the battles from this tournament. I understand you're a busy man and are currently working on many other series but I figured it doesn't hurt to ask! Keep up the fantastic work bud!
Turns two of the videos corrupted and the 4th battle report is basically all about Dernhelm and Gamling using rules that have since been heavily changed Haha so I think I'll just shoot some new stuff :D

Nice one. Regarding siege engines: they do not have a control zone but need to two unengaged crew to fire. So if the chap had two unengaged crew then fair play. I think you lost this on the dice.
Yeah you're absolutely right man, I was remembering the old rules where you could charge a seige engine to disable it :)
I think in the new rules if you spend an entire turn doing nothing else in base contact with a siege engine it is disabled.
