  • Last weekend of July 2024. Rained on Saturday morning and blew a gale on Sunday morning, so limited in areas to fish that offered some protection from the wind. Got a few decent size models on soft plastics and vibes. One flatty had heaps of small lumps on it along with a few wounds. If anyone knows what these are, please put a reply in.

    Some very nice fish there Peter you local guys have been doing well since the rain hasn't been around.
    To bad about the wind and cold but your doing very well in the conditions.
    Keep them coming Peter 👍

      Thanks again Reg👍One day in the near future I'm hoping for a weekend morning with no rain and light or no wind😂

    Mate cracking video! You should do a tutorial on how to target these flatties - you’re the flatty king!!! You catch more flatties in one video than I do in a year 😂 Legend for going out in that beautiful weather haha it would be nice to have at least 1 days a month that’s nice (is that too much to ask for???)

      Thanks for the kind words Seb👍You'll have to get back out in your boat into the deeper water of Lake Mac and give the vibes another crack. You'll get some flatties on board, there seems to be plenty of them at the moment. I don't actually target flatties, and you can't see them on the sounder anyway. In reality, I'm happy with anything that comes along while I'm casting for that elusive PB of any species🤞🤞

      🤣Hardcore🤣I wouldn't go out in some of the conditions I've seen you in Dave. But both mornings in this video weren't too bad at dawn and just got worse. The electric was going between 7 and 10 with some gusts just pushing me sideways

    Great fishing Peter and footage, can you please let me know what size and type of lures you used to catch all these awesome flattys. Cheers mate

    • @petersimpson4916
      @petersimpson4916  Před měsícem

      Thanks Craig👍 The lures used were 6.5 inch Nemesis in colour bleak and a 100mm Samaki forktail vibe in colour Ghost Prawn I think, but it's well used and has lost it's UV eyes and most of its markings.
