ok so I'm still on my curly hair journey, I'll share what I've learnt so far. Firstly, there's so much information out there and I personally found it overwhelming and would have told myself at the start to take it easy and at my own pace and I'll eventually find what works for me. I've recently learnt that curly/wavy hair loves water and that sometimes that's why it can look dehydrated, undefined, frizzy etc, so I've found looking at ingredients to ensure it's not blocking water absorption e.g. silicones, styling hair whilst it's wet and sealing it in to be helpful. I think you've mentioned before you use clarifying shampoo which is so good to get rid of product buildup and ensure water can get through to hydrate your strands. I also found creams weigh my hair down, I have found custards to be much better particularly the Cantu shine and define custard I think it's called and light styling serums/oils few drops for smoothness and shine-I love the L'oreal extraordinary one. I have seen the bowl method work really well for the more wavy side which might be worth a go and usually reveals peoples hair type or closer to it. To refresh curls in between washes try conditioner and water in a spray bottle, spritz your hair and then put your styling cream/custard/product of choice. When sleeping pile it on top of your head with a very loose hair tie to maintain the curls - I call this the pineapple updo hahaa. TikTok is a really great place to learn more about curly haircare and find what works for people with your own similar hair type. Let me know if there's anything I can expand on or any other particular questions :)
