  • An in depth look at how complex simplicity can be with 1948 technology. Only a few months in to the newly invented Flipper, Gottlieb was literally the "King of Pinball". Just because it's a simple game, doesn't mean it's easy. A look at the components and how they worked back then, the rulesets and gameplay. @chuckufarley5884 Thank you so much. It's not as fast or as flashy as the new stuff but it definitely takes a different skill to do well on it. Thanks for watching!

@@pin-monkeypinball3548 I meant to ask, does the 'bicycle bell' timer contain a coil clock spring that gets 'wound up by the coin chute?

@chuckufarley5884 yes it's essentially a clock spring with a contact on it that will touch and once it unwinds itself, the contacts open again.

Thanks for showing off this early Gottlieb. There’s a lot more going on than first meets the eye. Do you have any plans for the cab and the backglass?

@markjackson1444 yes I will end up with a repro glass. The cabinet I plan to paint before it gets cold out again. Finally getting recovered from shoulder surgery so hopefully I'll get caught up soon. Thanks for watching!
