You are indeed saved by God’s grace and your faith “For God loves the world so that He sent His only Son, so that whoever believes in Him might not perish but have eternal life” but a faith without works is dead. Jesus came to show us how to live, treat and love one another. He came to do the will of his Father which was to take upon himself, the sins of the world & overcome death and ressurect so we can also do the same. He led by example in setting forth good works and being a peace maker pleading us to follow his example. By saying that work is not necessary is to say part of his mission wasn't necessary. YES HE DIED FOR OUR SINS but he also pleads us to continue to love and serve thy neighbour - THAT IS STILL WORK. We are to pray always as he says - THAT IS STILL WORK. To only say that Grace is needed to be saved, undervalues part of Jesus's life.
Also, repentance is preached all through the Bible including the New Testament. Jesus said for all to repent, if he knew he will die for our sins, why would he still ask us to repent? Because every day we will fall short and he knew it, so we must work and ask for forgiveness daily, so we can live as he did. He died for us and took away the original sin from the time of Adam and Eve (mind you, death came because they partook of the fruit in the Garden of Eden) and in doing that Jesus gave us redemption from that and granted us Eternal Life for free or else we wouldn't ressurect but in doing so, he opened up the ability for us to be forgiven for our own individual sins that we all will be accounted for. That is where repentance comes in which stil requires "work". Revelation 20:12 says all will be judged according to "their" works. And many more which does state that through Jesus Christ we are saved by grace but what we do in our own lives and how we treat others will still be looked at and judged in the last day and still requires "work" 😊

What that verse is saying is that works are evidence of your faith. If you truly have faith that Jesus defeated death for you there is no possible way that you could not do works for him because Jesus dying on that cross is the highest and greatest act of love that could have ever been done for you. You don't sound too optimistic my friend in Christ. You're already condemning yourself and us. Don't. Christ Himself will not. If our works/deeds are all negative and full of hatred and no love, then I will agree with what you said. But there's always room for improvement, and that's the beauty of this relationship with Christ. As we receive His graces with a clean and contrite heart, He in turn will continue to help us, even at the time of judgment. We must be hopeful and have faith, with good works of course, and with humility.

Praise the Lord Jesus Christ
Jesus came to show us how to live, treat and love one another. He came to do the will of his Father which was to take upon himself, the sins of the world & overcome death and ressurect so we can also do the same. He led by example in setting forth good works and being a peace maker pleading us to follow his example.
By saying that work is not necessary is to say part of his mission wasn't necessary. YES HE DIED FOR OUR SINS but he also pleads us to continue to love and serve thy neighbour - THAT IS STILL WORK. We are to pray always as he says - THAT IS STILL WORK. To only say that Grace is needed to be saved, undervalues part of Jesus's life.
Also, repentance is preached all through the Bible including the New Testament. Jesus said for all to repent, if he knew he will die for our sins, why would he still ask us to repent? Because every day we will fall short and he knew it, so we must work and ask for forgiveness daily, so we can live as he did. He died for us and took away the original sin from the time of Adam and Eve (mind you, death came because they partook of the fruit in the Garden of Eden) and in doing that Jesus gave us redemption from that and granted us Eternal Life for free or else we wouldn't ressurect but in doing so, he opened up the ability for us to be forgiven for our own individual sins that we all will be accounted for. That is where repentance comes in which stil requires "work".
Revelation 20:12 says all will be judged according to "their" works. And many more which does state that through Jesus Christ we are saved by grace but what we do in our own lives and how we treat others will still be looked at and judged in the last day and still requires "work" 😊

I disagree, he brought many people to be a carnal Christian which they will hear Jesus say, I did not know you, you who practice lawlessness. And they will be thrown where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Billy is not in heaven unless he truly repented in the end. You don't sound too optimistic my friend in Christ. You're already condemning yourself and us. Don't. Christ Himself will not. If our works/deeds are all negative and full of hatred and no love, then I will agree with what you said. But there's always room for improvement, and that's the beauty of this relationship with Christ. As we receive His graces with a clean and contrite heart, He in turn will continue to help us, even at the time of judgment. We must be hopeful and have faith, with good works of course, and with humility.

I, on the other hand, must rely on God’s grace through faith because I know without it I am damned. God has prepared works for me to do. Many of which I will fail to complete or not even recognise because I am fundamentally flawed. But I know that God loves me regardless. That is the Good News to which I will cling Otherwise there is no point. However, for you-cling to your works. I’m sure that they’ll get you there.

If we had to live according to the law we would have to be perfect and that’s impossible. Why did Paul work so hard and sacrifice so much to teach the Romans about Christ. Jesus is the most complete revelation of God, we can’t fully know God apart from Christ and because God appointed Jesus to bring God and man together, we cannot come to God by another path. There is not a “work” you can do that will impress God to where he will grant you eternal life. He is God anything you plan to do he has already done it! And does it better than you!

Do they preach on Hell, the beginning of sorrows, the coming Great Tribulation, the Terrible day of the Lord, do we say anything to our friends dressed in a sexy manner, or are we the cowardly described in Revelation, because we are too scared or don't want to offend anyone? Why did Jesus told the adulterer sin no more if He knew it isn't possible?! Why Jesus told the paralytic go and sin no more unless something worse happens? He is saying it because it's possible through Christ we can live a sinless lifestyle. Sin isn't cheap it's paid with blood. Let our Holy Spirit guide us to live Holy!

He gave HIMSELF for our iniquity that we could find justification in HIM. HIS righteousness so that we could be reconciled back to God. People bristle and talk about good things they either are or have done when it has nothing to do with good on our part. Only God is good and our ability to do good will be to the extent that we allow that good shepherd to live in us!
