Eivør is one of those Nordic sirens like Aurora etc. Her vocal abilities are impressive and her voice is just so beautiful. Unfortunately she doesn't get many views on YT. I wish she was more popular internationally.
She's not a pop diva like Aurora, so she doesn't get the same attention. But Eivør does not seek the same attention as Aurora does. Eivør sings more difficult vocals than Aurora does and performs more at special events and in the film industry. Eivør has sung in all the seasons and in the film The Last Kingdom on Netflix. Eivør comes from some small islands in the North Atlantic called the Faroe Islands. Descendants from the Vikings and Celts live there. They speak the old Viking language on a daily basis but also know several other languages, English being one of them. Eivør often performs where she sings in her own Faroese language and she also does that in The Last Kingdom, which is a series about Vikings and Great Britain. Her singing in Faroese makes The Last Kingdom very Viking authentic.
Aurora has talent, but no way the range, the control, the Faroe history & feel of Eivor.
I know it's chronologically impossible, but Aurora and Kate Bush had a baby...
Eivør is on another level than Aurora.

Eivor is from a small island located between Iceland and Norway. She is a very talented vocalist. Speaking of Norway, Angelina Jordan's EP, with 5 new original songs is due to be released this Friday, July 21st.

Thank you for reacting to Eivor --- My fist Eivor song was a video called True Love and I went crashing down the Eivor rabbit hole -- she has a huge catalog of original songs that whe wrote -- Some are in English but there are many that she sings in other languages too -- She is from the Faeroe Islands and is hands down my favorite female singer --- My newest favorite song is Gullspunnen (Spun in Gold) -- It matters not what language she sings in because she sings to your soul -- like a Siren of mythology and Viking lore ---- Lol I could see the exact moment you fell into her spell -- It was so fun to watch -- Please do more cause she deserves to be everyone's new favorite

YAAAAS, I am so glad you reacted to this song. Eivor is a vocal beast. You have to remember, all of that was live... not a single note was off key! These are not even all of the techniques she is capable of (she does some mean throat singing/beat boxing type thing). Lots of people got to know here because she is on a bunch of gaming soundtracks but the soundtrack to the BBC/Netflix show The Last Kingdom (freaking awesome show btw). Eivor Palsdottir is from the Faroese Islands which is in the North Atlantic between Scotland and Iceland which is why you do hear a lot of Scandi Folk influence in her songs. brief intro: Eivor ( I-vor ) Palsdottir is from the Faroe Islands (off the Scandinavian coast)....she often sings in her beautiful, native Faroese language, which is haunting and medieval in tone....her most viewed song is "Trollabundin or Trodlabundin" sung in Faroese....there are numerous postings on CZcams....I prefer any of the live versions........Eivor often sings with Einar Selvik of Wardruna (their duet of 'Helvegen' live is magical)........a true 'World Music' diva.......

And don't mention her excellent guitar playing. I believe she has a masters degree in tribal music. I love her Mongolian throat singing. Her talent is unbelievable.

Eivor is her name not the name of the band she's from the Faroe Islands (between Iceland and Norway) and her people are descendant from the "vikings" and still speak a language very similar to old norse. She makes music from when she was little she didn't win anything she's not a product of tv talent shows.
