    I have a few of the older Bravo Concealment holsters when Kydex was becoming the new thing. They still are holding up well.

      That's what's great about kydex, it'll pretty much last forever.

    Only critique I have is you did not show them on. It would have been nice to see how well they conceal.

      Thank you for the feedback. It really helps me know what type of content people are looking for.

    I have bravo concealment which I like (iwb torsion). Light bearing i believe retention holds on to light more so vs non light bearing which holds the firearm (or could be the difference of design between the two). The upside down shake test in regards to retention you will notice with a weighted/loaded mag in the firearm as the additional weight (and gravity) there's extra weight to simulate draw pull strength. With no mag even lowest retention firearm isn't going to come out but with mag inside you will certainly tell the difference. Also, even though it is plastic, I found they do break in after you keep drawing the gun and will begin to tell some difference on retention levels as well (at least on non light bearing version).

    Thanks Cody, I like BC so far. Been rocking it for a couple months now. Cant beat the prices for the quality you get.

    I think the reason that holster has some play is because it was designed for the tlr7a not the tlr 7 that your using in the video.

    • @simpleinstinct
      @simpleinstinct  Před rokem

      Very well could be. I'd have to look back at my order history to confirm.

      @simpleinstinct I checked on Amazon, and it says it will only fit the tlr7a. However, in your video it does secure the firearm and it does hold it securely. If the play doesn't bother you I think it shouldn't be a problem.

    I have 2 Fobus paddle OWB holsters for my G-23 and G-20. I also have one IWB skin holster which works for both… even in gym shorts. My Falco (Galco spin-off) is for winter carry for my G-20. All are fine. Also….. carry more than 9 milli for the mountains, Marine😬

    • @simpleinstinct
      @simpleinstinct  Před rokem +1

      10mm is a good choice. For me, if 9mm isn't gonna work, I'll use a long gun.
      Ulti Clip is great for sweats and gym shorts too.

    02:08 I disagree with you, mine broke after a couple months of use and didn’t even bother buying a replacement, I stuck with the OWB holster and for my IWB I started using a $30 holster from amazon that has a much better belt clip! I will now go back and finish watching the video

    What's the holster with the open bottom? I can't understand what you're saying.

    • @simpleinstinct
      @simpleinstinct  Před 3 měsíci

      I'm not sure I understand what you're asking.
      In the video, I explained that having an open bottom is easier to clean the holster itself. For example, pine needles or lint from clothing, dirt, ect. Vs the OWB holster in the video that is more enclosed. I hope that explains it a little better.

    • @tonebodega
      @tonebodega Před 3 měsíci

      @@simpleinstinct what's the name of the open bottom? Who makes it and what's the model?

    • @simpleinstinct
      @simpleinstinct  Před 3 měsíci

      The one in the video is a bravo concealment. I tried to get a link to it through their website. I couldn't find it though. Not sure if you're looking for and OWB or IWB but the aliengear rapid force is also a great holster.

    Is there a gap where the trigger guard is? Are you able to stick your finger in it?

    • @simpleinstinct
      @simpleinstinct  Před 8 měsíci

      There is no gap. You would not be able to operate the trigger while it's holstered.

      Some people complain about holster wear on their lights and guns. Because of the tension. But most kydex holster do this.

      It's not a bad way to go on a budget. Bravo has some IWB clips.

    The polymer is not as strong as kydex, my 1 cracked near the slide as my belt was wearing down the polymer material

    These holsters are lousy. Based on your review I bought 2 for a Glock 19 and a 45, both Gen 5. Neither holster fit neither pistol smoothly. They were stiff going in and extremely difficult to unholster, even when holding with your hands; forget about trying to actually use on your belt. I slid them in and out maybe a dozen times each and began to notice wear marks on my slides and they began to remove the serial number markings on my TLR7A’s.

    • @simpleinstinct
