This is honestly a great way for talented singers to be recognised and debuted without worrying about being judged for their looks by companies and the public! I'd advocate for more if it means more beautiful voices on the scene
yeah and their privacy might be respected since no one knows what they actually look like. But I'm worried about how artists behind the scenes would be compensated. Also it might get harder for a traditional artist to compete with an AI generated artist. AI artists don't have to worry about reputation, mental health, rest, salary, living amentias, performance variability, etc, so a company can output music at a much faster rate with them and generate more profits at concerts

I like how if you're a fan of MAVE, you're basically a fan of everyone behind the scenes. Often in kpop, people only like the idols and completely forgot the staff's hardwork. Even sometimes discredit them.

I like this type of concept visually, but I'd love a bit more of transparency in terms of promoting the real talent behind, kinda like what they did with KDA at least.

No. Do they credit the staff who works for their design, animation, songs, management, etc? Yes. The only difference is Luxiem stream while MAVE don't. This kind of thinking works for me. Hopefully, it can also give you a new perspective! 🥰

I mean technically they're not "non-existent". There's still real artists behind the voices even if the actual band is only a concept. See: Gorillaz, which has been around for decades now. No one would argue it's "not a real band" or that "the artists are nonexistent" just because the characters themselves are animated story concepts.

I give nothing but love to the names in the credits. Any animation is hard, but the sheer amount of detail in this is mindblowing. I’m dizzy thinking about the polygon count on some of those models 😭 plus procedural hair? Realistic textures??? Completely (at least 3) original, large sets built from scratch? God damn, it looks nearly perfect and this is just debut 😭😭 the man power, computer power and money needed to pull something of this scope is huge. Even if u don’t love their music, pls consider supporting Mave so the team’s dedication is rewarded
Edit: since some are confused, the context for this is that most projects of this kind have been quite flawed due to skill and budget constraints, which in itself has been caused by a lack of projected success. It’s amazing to see how much faith in the studio(s?) have paid off here.

I love the scene where Zena jumps off the building, runs along the walls, and lands on Marty's car! It made use of their freedom to animate which is difficult/much more expensive to emulate in real life. Lots of appreciation to the team behind this ❤

Mave can't do that at the moment and it would never be the same as a real idol. If virtual idols were going to take over they would have already done so since Vocaloids like Miku have existed and had concerts for a while now.

@@tamaradinkins1053 do you know the potential of this concept? Stiff facial expressions? Glitchy movements? They can be compensated by the impossibilities this concept can prod. Like for example the transitions, the superhuman movements, the BGs that synergize well with the performers (there are editing in other groups that looks cringe for the sole reason that they can't synergize their edits with their human performers), and so much more! The fact this is just them pioneering the way for virtual idols after so much of their predecessors failed is already good enough reason for them to try this concept

But if you dont know what AI generated means vs what Mave is, AI generated is when an artificial intelligence generates something, that means the voices are all fake, and the visuals are not made by humans, its all made up. Mave are created by humans, both their voices and visuals are intentionally created, sculpted and recorded by real people. The dance for example, is choreographed by real people and recorded using motion capture.
