@GothamChess 32:35 you could play Bf6 to block of the king for checkmate in 1 by Rb8 after Bf6. But black will see that so he will play Rf6 capturing your bishop, then white will play Kf6 capturing the rook. The Kd8 is foreced cause else checkmate. Then you play h7, then Kc8, then Ra7, then Kb8, then Rd7 caputuring the bishop, then Kc8 then R(f or g)7 then Kd8 then checkmate by h8 promoting to queen

ya know. watching your commentaries overall I think some of the best stuff comes when you are seeing the moves come at pretty rapid pace and you are like a sports commentator almost because its happening so fast. Would be kinda cool to have you just do that to games. like just have the game analysis/review set up to make a move forward every 5 seconds on a timer practically. a relentless series of moves that you cannot pause, just like a sports commentator. then you can go back for replays at the end. might be kinda fun.

I have noticed that the bots sometimes go into what I call "suicide mode." They start just throwing pieces away, and all I can think is that they see their prospects as so bad that they opt to try for a stalemate. There is also something known as AI "hallucinations," and that is a possible explanation.
I’ve noticed that, too. It’s like they get tired of playing and self-destruct to save their time for other things… which is ironic because all they can do is play chess.

Well done! Me and two friends (1600, 1600 and 2100) where trying to beat this Mechanical Turk bot and we had some great games but didn't manage to beat it!
It feels like every bot has a certain "breaking point", where they just forget how to chess and completely throw the game.

The whole point about the mechanical turk was that it was actually a person hiding beneath. What if this bot sends the game positions to random GMs that play the moves for him?
