This is my car and will be up for sale soon, most likely on Bring a Trailer, for anyone interested.
For those asking about the CCW classic wheels, the fronts were 17x8 with a 225/45/17 tire and iirc 15.9mm offset
The rears are 17x9 with 255x40x17 tire and 19mm offset

The Volvo 240 is my favorite of all time! My dream car would be a white wagon with blue cloth and a T-5 swap from a Volvo 850Turbo 👍

This feels absolutely crazy. I just purchased a 240 wagon that looks exactly like this including paint color! I was looking for inspiration for how I wanted my car to turn out one day and i guess i have a pretty easy template to follow! If I'm ever stationed in the MD area i know who I'm taking my car to 😁

I really like how you cut the front bumper out ,how was it done?
Thanks. I believe we just used an airsaw. We originally did not want to cut the bumper to be honest but the oem bumper cover leaves very little open area for air flow and we wanted as much air to get to the radiator and IC as possible.

Was expecting gnarly burnouts but only got a tiny little gravel skirt.
I laughed at the wastegate plumbed back into exhaust comment "civilized vehicle" .
Very interesting radiator tabs, I like it!
Would be interesting to see it on the track , dyno and scales!

They are great engines to swap for sure. We have put them in ALL kinds of vehicles from the typical Nissan to an El Camino to a couple different Volvos, BMWs and more.
This car made 500whp on our low reading Mainline dyno.
Not my place to do burnouts in the clients car(unless we are building and testing a drift car but we do street drive them enough before delivering.

@@MAMotorsports For future reference, look into hp monster red blocks from Sweden. People here are getting 600hp with 99% stock b230ft, just bigger injectors etc etc but internally it's original except stronger rods.

@5:45 how big is the driveshaft? 3.5" should fit a lowered 240 and hit bump stop before it rubs.

It was 3” steel I think. The issue was that the JZ with this trans was mounted as low as possible and still not able to clear.
How much did it cost please for the full revamp if you don’t mind asking
Tbh 3 peice wheels is a dead give away bro lol. so some like 18 inch factory volvo rims with firehawk indy 500 tires or something

Does the volvo 740 platform have more engine bay room than the the 240?
We actually 2J swapped a 740 also in the past. It’s about the same amount of space from what I recall. Maybe a little more but I believe they are pretty close to the same.

How did the motor fit I just bought a 240 and I’m putting a 2jz motor in it too😂
it required modification to the cross member and a customer tunnel for the driveshaft in order to get everything where we wanted it.
This isn’t the same one from way back that was silver?
This is a different car. The silver car belonged to Ray and was a 740.

Really nice car but it could be nicer. Overall the body and the powertrain is perfect in my opinion, but the interior is lacking. Put the stock cluster back in and the stock seats modify the headunit to be bluetooth. Amd just make it look and feel exactly as oem.
We mentioned that the car was going to the stereo and upholstery shop. The stock cluster would not deliver the information the driver needs and wants. Thanks for watching though.
