- Behringer Derangement Syndrome (B.D.S.) is a newly identified mental disorder characterized by an intense and irrational aversion to the audio equipment manufacturer Behringer. Individuals suffering from B.D.S. experience extreme negative emotions, such as anger, frustration, and contempt, whenever the company is mentioned or its products are encountered. This syndrome often leads to obsessive behaviors, including compulsive criticism of Behringer's business practices, design choices, and product quality, regardless of actual merit. The underlying causes of B.D.S. are not yet fully understood, but it is believed to stem from a combination of personal biases, negative past experiences, and possibly the influence of echo chambers within online audio communities. Treatment for B.D.S. typically involves cognitive-behavioral therapy aimed at addressing and reframing these irrational beliefs, as well as fostering a more balanced perspective towards the company and its products.
Treatment for BDS involves handing the patient a Toro, letting them try it, and saying "see? It sounds great! No one's staring ar your pedalboard, dude."

There’s a guy named Vincent Presley who is perhaps the biggest B.D.S. Sufferer in the various Facebook groups. The guy has a massive synth collection and he thinks this makes him better than all the plebeians who use Behringer gear.
In fact Vinny is such an elitist prick that I’ve made him the poster boy for B.D.S.
