I find myself wishing that Princess Catherine and Princess Diana could have met as adults and been together in the here and now, but watching this, I feel certain that Diana is here within Kate, inspiring her to flourish and to grace us.
Catherine is a genuine, empathetic and beautiful person. I have much respect for her. She's grown into her role within the Royal family but has done so without changing who she is as a person. Her parents raised her to be a genuine and caring girl and that shines through even now. She able to combine her own thoughts and style and still remain respectful to the expectations of being a member of the Royal family. It takes a strong and confident person to be able to do as she has done, something I'm afraid Diana could not accomplish. I think Diana would adore Catherine and see in her the person she herself would have wished to be.
She is a modern royal. There was a lot of strict and archaic rules during Diana’s time that did a lot to reduce her to just an accessory to Charles, but she fought to rise above it sadly it cost her her life.
Besides, the royal family would not want a repeat of that. Catherine is way more protected than Diana ever was.
I think Diana might not have liked losing the limelight to Catherine. Two people different as chalk and cheese

These are things I have never known about Kate, which have really raised my respect for her. I, as many others, immensely admired Princess Diana. Between her humanitarian work with AIDS patients to her protests to landmines, she definitely deserved the “People’s Princess” title. What was presented today showed Kate emulating and honoring Diana in so many ways, but is obviously not a carbon copy. She seems to be putting her own, much needed spin on causes that deservedly need attention brought to them.
Kate can dress like Diana but by no means has she even come close to the compassion for the forgotten and the injured. She is a good mother and goes to do her political requirements but she’s not got the charisma Diana had. Megan has that. UK made a huge mistake.
