They just don't make movies like this anymore sadly, it's all CGI/AI now. This film was just brilliant in its attention to detail and effort that went into the sets, props, costumes, the storyline and the passion that went in to recreating a part of history many never knew about.
You do a decent portion of this movie is CGI right?
This film was a big innovator in CGI
@@808G8GT The only things I can think of of the top of my head that are cgi in this movie is the water surrounding the ship, the night sky and digital extras in the background. The rest is physical miniatures and physical sets.
The issue is not CGI or AI thing. To have a good movie is the script, and a good producer. Just think about The Justice League movie. 2 same movie but showed differently.
@@savann.sun1980 the only thing a good producer can do is not meddle with the production, bad producers can’t help themselves they meddle, good producers do nothing. It’s the Director that is making the film

It was the year 1997 when this film came out in my country. I was in Grade 5. I lost count of how many times I watched Titanic over and over in cinemas, VCDs, and DVDs before. Fast forward to today, it still gives me chills of how amazing this film was made. It will forever be one of my favorite films at all times.
Absolutely !
I wasn’t born when the movie came out but I found the dvd when I was 6 and I’ve watched it on repeat ever since 💖
I was grade 5 too when this came out. I remember my teacher asking us to watch this movie so we can write a reaction paper about it.
It's the only time I've ever been to a CINEMA (ie not theatre with actual actors present) and there's been a standing ovation.

lol. Seriously?
This movie came out when I was 2years old but my first time watching it was when I was 6 in 2001 . I saw it in Spanish because I was living in Mexico at the time .
James works for the new world order spreading propaganda, like promoting the lie that it was the Titanic that sank, when it wasn't, it was the Olympic that was sunk for insurance purposes and to kill off some power rich people; it was aimed at an ice field it didn't just hit an iceberg accidently; thanks James for years of propaganda, including the Teminator, my favoritie

The script and the actors were so good that everyone who watched this movie was on the Titanic

@@camhamster3891 okay thanks, yes they are not aware of the truth, or they are part of the propaganda, not surprising. anyway, it was 100% the Olympic that sank, and it was steered into the ice berg field on purpose, and many prominent businessmen were on board and murdered and other ones cancelled at the last minute as like 9/11 it was an inside job.
I met Leo recently at a screening of ‘killers of the flower moon’ and of course he’s an amazing actor and if we had all the time in the world,
I’d talk to him about other things but I was born with a birth defect and I wasn’t an emotional kid. I was taught to be resilient and I definitely didn’t cry in movies. There was so much effort put into this film. The costumes, the casting, the sets, the cinematography, the historical research, and more, all of it! To make a movie reenacting a historical tragedy is one thing. But to do it with honor and respect is something that truly deserves praise. This is one of my favorite films!
This movie was so epic. Everyone knew about it. I went to the theatre with a friend of mine and at the end of the movie, everyone got up and clapped and cheered. I looked over at my friend and she was crying. After, she was driving and we went thru a police checkpoint and the officer asked her if she was alright as she still had tears running down her cheeks. I think the passion of the whole cast actually transended to the audience watching the movie. It made Titanic a REAL LOSS. Up until that we had numeric figures and interviews or articles of what happened that night, but this movie of Titanic made it personal. You felt the stories of those aboard, the class seperations, the terror & uncertainty they faced that night, and inevitably the huge loss of human life, etc. For me it gave me a more personal look into a tragedy that fascinated me, but until then didnt have so many of the details of (temember pre internet). It’s so funny how I was telling my bf on Saturday (2 days ago) how much I want to rewatch titanic.. it’s my favourite movie of all time. I can rewatch it over and over for days on end 😅 and then this pops up it’s a sign
I love the way James Cameron recreated the whole accident with so many details. Although it was an unfortunate event and not many people were aware of the Titanic accident in 1997. There were thousands of people on the vessel at that time and each had his own story to be told and heard but James chose to put a love story inside the Titanic ship accident to gave it a romantic angle and that made this movie more interesting. I still remember when I saw Kate, I realized how could any girl be so beautiful like a mermaid, so talented and so innocent..and could not get over her beauty for long years. No need to say Leo had his own mesmerizing charm that still continues.
The actor, actress, director, producers, technicians, and staff involved got over with the movie once it is done, become a blockbuster, and an all-time hit but we as the audience, as fans never got over with the movements that we cherished with that particular movie. This is the magic and charm that the movie makers bring to our lives.

The first movie I ever cheered and clapped at obnoxiously loud in the theatre without even knowing I did anything until it happened... the part when Rose spat right in Cal's face and shoved him away after he smacked her across the face...
I was in the theater with my cousin, already so into the movie that I didnt even consciously make the decision to react that way. I was not quiet either, whereas everybody else was, and my cousin went bright red and was so embarrased for me and himself...( and im sure ashamed... ) which I found hilarious and cracked up laughing in a second he was so dying inside....
James Cameron gets to you when youre a kid.
Youve seen and watched Terminator 2 and Aliens as a kid, The Abyss... and this movie was one of the most engrossing movies to see in cinemas.
That never happened to me before but that was still one of the funniest reactions ive had... and my cousins reacting to me was the cherry.
Never fail to remember that when I watch the movie.
I remember vividly the wild cheers in the cinema - how every single person became so captivated that expelling that emotion into thunderous applause was the only outlet . Then the roar of applause at the very end. Ive
Never experienced anything like that since.
