As a lifelong California resident, that has been working with the "homeless" since 1997, understand that whenever someone presents the "homelessness" issue in California and fails to acknowledge DRUG ADDICTION as the lowest common denominator has either never worked with the homeless in California or is dishonest. The root cause of most homelessness in California is drug substance abuse. That's the reason that the per capita spending on the "homeless" is more than what the average California resident needs to live on. That's rent, food, transportation, etc. and the problem continues to grow. Now there's a national drug crisis, so prepare for this heading your way. JUST SAY NO TO DRUGS.
