So many people only know him as an actor, but he was so much more. He wrote some beautiful music. I felt honored to have seen him perform live in Oakland, CA. A beautiful soul he was.
I had to order this native's songs from Germany. But I understand he was married to a German Lady who apparently thinks enough of her man to continue his legacy. Can't say the same for Americans. Great man and musician. A credit to his people.
I remember wen he was teachin me how ta play his guitar nd play for me, I was only 9. Him nd my mom sang together nd sounded beautiful ! Now they're both in spirit wotld jammin' again :-) I sure do miss them.....

One of the first songs I've learnt to sing with the guitar, I was around 18 years old, was "35 More Miles", from Floyd Westerman. Few years later, I had the pleasure to shake his hand when he came to sing at the Native Festival of Montréal, around 1990.
How blessed you were. Floyd Red Crow Westerman has no equal. His songs fill me with emotion. I listen to them often .

red crow's performance at the 1980s rainbow festival in new Mexico I think it was *(or Arizona and on utube of course) was brilliant! Must see and listen to his songs. Much missed warrior and earth brother. Wopila tanka tiblo.
