  • Adjusting the truss rod on a 1968 Teisco Del Rey TT-220.
In this episode I continue the setup of my vintage 1968 Teisco Del Rey tulip guitar. I adjust the truss rod and check the intonation.
Did I get it right? Find out if the truss rod adjustment fixed the intonation problems on this beautiful vintage instrument. Leave me comments below on what my next adjustment should be!
BONUS: Watch to the end of the video to see me cutting a few tracks with the Teisco!

Tiesco always needs a lot of up keep. Frets are soft. I have a 65 l love it. Had it for 40 years.

i’ll admit i’m pretty new to vintage guitars but i think these guitars all had flatter frets, mine sure does. it could be a zero fret issue or maybe the guitar needs a shim? a bridge replacement could also be something to look at. i love that blue color you have though :)

Thanks for the suggestions! I really want to avoid replacing the frets if I can.
