- F1 racing is popular all over the world. Ubisoft couldn't get the full license for this game, but did they make a good racing title? Well you'll have to check the video to find out how Monaco Grand Prix is. I'm not gonna just tell you here.

It’s crazy how good this series is. I’m not interested in like 75% of the games played but I’ve watched every episode and I’m locked into each one
I'm watching every Episode of the N64 challenge, and I mean all of them.
im hoping he really takes off soon. he deserves it for the quality of the series
It’s because he treats each game with some care, instead of brushing past games he doesn’t care about much. Every game feels like it has some significance then
Me too
@@papadelta9485I mean when I started watching early this year he was at like 42k.
I love how dedicated you are to making each game sound interesting even when they are repetitive racing games.
"This track looks like a big old sock!"
Excellent commentary 👌
>Breaks the rules in Germany
>Gets punishment
>Is surprised
Classic.
I don’t blame him tho. In other racing games from the era going off track didn’t usually cancel your lap time. Test Drive Le Mans for example. The real reason you want to avoid going off in TDLM is just that going off is really bad for your lap time
13:33 The random game selection at the end is complete on a another level 🤣
I was hoping it would be the marble race
Ahh, so close to F-Zero X! And yet so far...
loving the next game lol.
I watch these videos as soon as they come out, but the downside is that there aren’t many comments and I would like to see what other people are saying. The solution: watch the video again in a few days 🎉 This series is a blast!
They are all saying how cool you are
Man that TheoSphere person is so cool 😎!
@@mikeallison5549 Aw shucks! 🤗
I am saying how cool you are
😂
@@Thabeast721 thanks for that original series by the way!
The first Elmo game being RNG #69... you literally can't write a better twist for this series
Monaco is known for being a hard as hell track with almost no chance to overtake
I love that game 69 was an Elmo game...
Man, as a huge fan of F1 and the current F1 video games, I am impressed that this game is so realistic. The tracks match real life too, and look pretty good too. It is also impressive that they have 16 tracks in this game, that are mapped from real life tracks, and other games only manage 4 or 5 tracks
Pretty sure all F1 games for the N64 had the same amount of tracks.
right?! It's really quite amazing for the N64 imo. I wish I had played this at the time, bet it would have blown my mind lol
THE RETURN OF THAB'S FACE PHOTOSHOPPED INTO THE BOX ART, LET'S GOOOOOOOOO
“Get wrecked NERD.” I love the commentary towards the innocent NPC’s lol
The n64 came out when I was 10 and I love seeing a newer generation of gamers play through these games. I can distinctly remember how hyped up my all my friends and I were when the N64 launched. We were in Grade 4/5. Most conversations were "How can graphics get any better than this!" I can also remember in Grade 5 we had this art assignment where we had to lay under our desks and tape paper to the bottom side and paint like Michelangelo. You know what I painted, the N64 LOGO!
That's such a fun art project for kids. I will do that if I ever have to teach an art class for kids.
good times man, ill never forget those amazing days. Some of my best memories as a kid was bringing our Gameboys to school and battling and trading Pokémon red/blue at recess or discussing how to get through ocarina of time because we had NO help from the internet! the good'ol days!
@@turtlebeef No help from the internet and if you needed extra help it was either Nintendo Power magazine or IGN. God I miss those times!
not sure if you knew this, but every track in this game are actual real life tracks. in fact, it's the exact track calendar that was used for the 1998 F1 season
It's definitely a sign of a game being uninteresting when Thab starts doing unprompted Rorschach tests lol
I don’t know what to make of Elmo being the 69th game. I’m not sure whether to laugh, cry, or go directly to prison.
I'm committed to watching every video in this series, and I mean all of them.
For old game, it's looking really good
7:06 I feel like the developers were trying to make names that vaguely sounded like F1 drivers of the time. These are my guesses as to who they equate to:
T. Wine = Eddie Irvine
M. Colyart = David Coulthard
J. Vanteeve = Jacques Villeneuve
A. Hanzfazen = Heinz-Harald Frentzen
D. Mill = Damon Hill
Z. Burts = Alex Wurz
T. Zaccitan = Mika Hakkinen
J. C. Gloria = Juan Pablo Montoya
At 6:00 the reason you took first place was that the person in 1st was in the pit lane either refuelling or changing their tyres. You only overtake someone in the pit lane when you cross the start finish line in racing. Someone didn’t give them the memo it was only a 5 lap race.
“Monaco is way too hard to pass someone because the track is so thin.” Congrats, you now know what it’s like to be an F1 fan when they’re racing at Monaco!
I’m binged the entire playlist in a week and now I’m caught up. It’s good to see a new one!
Your commentary cracks me up dude , I love the series!
Still have the sequel to this game on CD-ROM. Glad to see I'm not the only one who would just give up on the Monaco race 😁
11:42 It says that on every track 🤔
As a pretty new F1 fan it's always fun to see these old games in action. Plus seeing someone who doesn't know much about F1 figuring it out. Great video
This has become one of my new favorite series. Keep up the good work dude!
Favorite series on CZcams!! Keep it up man, I could watch these videos all day!
You channel is very helpful for researching these games! It is hard to find information on a lot of these games.
I’m glad to see you put your face in the thumbnail again.
This series is the only set of videos that always get an automatic like, comment, and share from me ....everybody should bear witness to Thabs!
Another entertaining video from the legendary Thab! Keep them coming man!
Deeply excited for the next video, that stream was so hype
You wouldn’t know realistic racing game fans growing up, seems to be something people pick up when they are adults, driving IRL and having cash for a realistic rig with a steering wheel and pedals
Loved the video as always Thab
That Elmo one is the one that will break the streak😉
This series is both psychotic and amazing, love it
Firenze is Italian for "Florence"
12:46 the mechanics wear fire proof suits, because back than it was allowed to refuel and sometimes there were fires during pit stops
These are all real tracks. That's pretty cool to have that many in an N64 game.
Alternate title: ThaBeast describes the circuits used in the late 90s formula 1 seasons while he plays an unlicensed F1 game in the background
Good luck editing the countless hours of content in the two Elmo games
racing sim games aren't something I enjoy but this was a pleasant installment to the series. Kinda funny you can play the game against itself, it's so real that you can tune your car to video game specs instead of the real life specs the AI has.
Nice.
Huge fan of this series thab!
Entertaining videos man!
I've seen every one of these. Love N64
"Great Britain" is not inaccurate. It is the name of the main island that contains England, Scotland, and Wales, and is a different thing than the UK (which contains Great Britain and Northern Ireland). Then there is "The British Isles," which contains the UK as well as Ireland and the Channel Islands (Isle of Mann, Isle of Wight, etc.). The more you know 🌠
I’m watching Thabeast721 beat every Nintendo 64 game; I mean all of them. Funny thing is the next video is completely random.
Glad you got some satisfaction from figuring out the right setup and qualifying 1st
Man your voice is so soothing, combined your ability to convey each game's particularity makes this series pure gold.
Thats so gay..ugh
Mojo with that nice roll making Austin Powers proud
Of course it also happens to be one of the first games rated EC
I really am looking forward to Jet Force Gemini run. One of my favorites on the system.
The detail to tuning really impressed me for a game of this time
The funny thing is that is actually really accurate to the engine noises at the time. Look up F1 V10 era and its pretty impressive for an N64 game
Slow down more in corners! I just started watching this series recently and figured there'd be no point in commenting this but now I see you're not so far through the challenge as I thought. I notice this on ever racing game you play, you're taking way too much speed into the turns and then you struggle to steer out of them and lose a bunch of acceleration on the following straights. There's a saying in racing: "Slow in -> Fast out"
Great Britain is the island where England, Scotland and Wales are located.
United Kingdom is the aforementioned nations plus Northern Ireland.
So Great Britain is the correct term for where the race is taking place.
Man you are an incredible script writer, awesome video as always
*69
Thab smirks…”nice.”
I've got to agree with you. This is one of the better looking N64 games.
Elmo's Letter Adventure, the Dark Souls of the N64!
I love how THAB, knowing very nearly nothing about F1, immediately arrived at all the same conclusions about the Monaco track that F1 fans did. It is too narrow to overtake.
Nice to see the Army Men from Sarge's Heroes got work as the pit crew. Lol
That is a cursed combination of random number and random game.
There is now nothing I am looking forward to more in life than Elmo's Letter Adventure.
"how much fuel you use effects your speed and shit" Now that's a simulationist style racing game
thanks for making these so quickly, they're all so fun.
In his streams he's already 50 games further
@@maartenn2217 legit? didn't even know he streamed.
@@Arcexey yeah he's at game 160 or something
@@maartenn2217 what??? 160 instead of 97? So he's done like zelda and goldeneye and stuff??
He's live right now on Twitch! ThaBeast721
dude the run downs and the narration of your experience is amazing. Loving this content my man! keep it up!!!
basically a 1/4th done keep it up bro u got this
Random question but is there anymore train videos? Because your conductor outfit lives rent free in my head it was soo cute 🥰
"n. humigger" lol in case you don't get it, that's supposed to be michael schuhmacher
Knowing the track layout is key in f1
Makes me want to see Tha Beast play Trackmania, lol
13:50 69 & Harley got reked
RIP
ready for the hey you pikachu experience where the whole video his him going "it just does not work whatsoever"
I've never heard of this game before today but it's certainly the best looking racing game I've seen for the N64 in terms of graphics and detail
You wouldn't be the first to complain about Monaco's layout, in fact several GP drivers themselves have complained about the complete lack of passing sections! This track alone ranks pretty low in the championship roster, the only reason they're keeping it around is for the big uptick in tourism and economic boost for the area when it's on!
Welp, looks like I will forever be calling Monza the 'Italian Sock'...
6:07. P1 dropped to P2 because they're probably programed to pit after x number of laps.
I can’t wait for the Elmo game commentary lol
TheoSphere is so cool!
best video for lunch!
I hope Elmo scores a high number for difficulty 😆
I’m excited for you to actually land on a good game
Best thumbnail ever.
Sick!!! I can’t wait for Elmo! 😂
You are a soldier for doing this!
1:25 Firenze is how Italians pronounce Florence
20 Dentists...that is terrifying 😂
Fun geopolitical fact: Great Britain isn’t the whole UK. The UK includes England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
Also, pretty great that #69 is an Elmo game 😅
My favorite episode so far has been Turok, and the one that I am most looking forward to is Turok 2: Seeds of Evil. I absolutely love those games and have played through both multiple times.
I’d love to hear from others what their favorite has been and what they are most looking forward to.
And here’s a deeper breakdown of some of my favorites:
My favorite episodes so far because I loved playing these games as a teenager: Turok, WCW/NWO World Tour, Donkey Kong 64, Tony Hawk, Mario Party, South Park, Dr. Mario, Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire & Rogue Squadron, Duke Nukem 64
Episodes that I really enjoyed because I never played these games or didn’t stick with them after a few initial attempts: Star Soldier, Mega Man 64, Indiana Jones, Castlevania 64, Doraemon, Bomberman 64, Command & Conquer, Body Harvest, Mission Impossible, and I’ve also really enjoyed a couple of the Japanese baseball games
My least favorite kinds of episodes, but ones I still watch because I enjoy the channel and respect the commitment: most sports games, most racing games, and mahjong
The episode that I will probably never finish: Super Robot Wars 64 (I’m sorry, Thab, it’s just too much for me 😅; I know you put a lot of work into it, too)
The episodes that I am most looking forward to: Zelda: OOT & MM, Turok 2 & 3, Banjo-Kazooie & Tooie, Golden Eye 007, Star Fox 64, Ogre Battle 64, Perfect Dark, Conker’s Bad Fur Day, Gauntlet Legends, Jet Force Gemini, Doom 64, Quest 64, Quake 2, all the other THQ WCW & WWF wrestling games, and really ALL the Mario: 64, Paper, Kart, Party sequels, sports games, etc.
Have a lot to look forward to, and excited for all those other games in between that I don’t know very much about. Really appreciate this channel and everything you do, and I always look forward to a new episode!
100th game is almost here! Can't wait!
I mean all of them 😅
Best ending ever. Nice!
360 ! Nailed it !
😎
me: say the line thab!
thab: vee-hickle
Sounds like you got the real life Monaco experience lol
Not a fan of the racing games, but i'm happy to still feed that algorithm by watching and leaving a comment.
“Monaco grand pricks”- Aaron kosharsky
This beast has human like intelligence !!
The San Marino track is most definitely shaped like a chicken wing.
Are you seeing the relatively dynamic shadows on the car? This is a visually impressive game for the 64.
When you finish you'll have to have a best of genre video. Best sport game, racing game platformer etc
