The only way to surf waves is with the folding propeller. When you're new, stay on the standard propeller until you are comfortable with the foil and the trigger control. Then switch to folding propeller and learnt to glide without any motor power. Total game changer!
The black board in this video is a Lift2 5'0". I usually ride the Lift3 4'2". When it comes to surfing an efoil, all Lift efoils surf well. You want to ride a board that fits your body size and your skill level... just like regular surfing. Aloha.
