Alaa + Issam Marrakech Wedding

Alaa + Issam’s festive, cultural celebration in Marrakech can only mean really (really!) good things, and we think you’ll agree as soon as you scroll through to see more from their day, captured to perfection by Tomasz Wagner + Tim Millen of This Modern Love!
Alaa worked alongside her planner, florist + designer, Boutique Souk and, together, the ladies dreamt up a setting with a wild, but elegant, aesthetic - think tiled patterns, jewel tones and brass, and flora such as wildflowers, bougainvillea, and olive branches. To match the already inspiring backdrop, Alaa + Issam chose to include a stunning color combination of magenta - a hue which occurs naturally in the bougainvillea trees lining the nearby streets - and an intense shade of blue made popular by Moroccan painter, Jacques Majorelle. To better describe the atmosphere, Alaa tells us, We chose the Beldi Country Club, a rustic rose farm surrounded by mature gardens on the edge of Marrakech city. On arrival, guests were sprinkled with rose petals before winding their way through the gardens, entertained by local Gnaoua musicians, through the rose gardens to the greenhouse. Greeted by Issam’s family, guests were welcomed in traditional Moroccan style - with a mint tea and Moroccan patisseries filled with rosewater and almonds as well as Moroccan dates in a lush greenhouse on a warm Marrakech afternoon with full view of the nearby Atlas Mountains…
