I agree 100% it’s a lot of fake emotions. Drew Barrymore is an actress because she is literally good at “acting.” I don’t think she actually genuinely cares about this child, she’s just trying to capitalize on his temporary recent popularity. I mean, come on, if she actually wanted to help this kid she would and could have done better than a measly $5,000. I’m not saying she owes him anything but Barrymore’s net worth is estimated at $125 million. Also seems a bit racist that she gives him a year supply of the equivalent of chicken nuggets…really? He’s a little kid so he’s gonna love it but seems to be leaning a bit more towards Barrymore trying to get attention or a pat on the back for acting like she did something to give back for a media stunt
I think getting $5,000 for having a love of corn and being adorable is not a bad deal at all but a blessing!

LOL no I totally agree! Something about the cadence and the tone with which kids speak is just so cute and funny regardless of accent or language. It just makes everything they say sound super sweet.
I work at an elementary school and it is super super adorable and funny but it gets difficult when you only understand ever 5th word 😂😂

It's a speech impediment -- he has at least one of them: not being able to say "r" words properly. This is the one I had as a kid, too, and it is a very common one for kids in America because it is actually a difficult sound to learn how to make with our mouths/tongues. Most kids/people grow out of it and figure it out eventually! I had to go to speech therapy as a kid to fix mine.
Drew is the perfect person to have interviewed such a sweet little boy. I’m so glad he ended up with her instead of any other show. She really connects with him on a personal level and makes him feel special as a human being instead of just a passing phenomenon. So so good. This makes my heart so happy!

At the beginning of the video I didn't know how to feel about too many shows inviting Tariq onto the show, just it might be a little too much visual stardom, but I see his face light up and how thankful he was. The hostess was absolutely lovely and kind to him. Tariq owned the stage. He was so joyful and kind. We all look up to him. This was a blessing to him and to those watching.
My friends have been calling me the Corn Boy since the 90's. I would be glad to relinquish and pass on the title to this little guy. It was a good run for me, but I think he is truly "The Corn Boy" and I approve his message. 😎

I'm not an outwardly emotional person myself, but this boy is very emotive and his joyous demeanor can extend through the screen.
