Awesome video Mindy. Yes, mountain biking is a little different compared to road biking especially with mtb tires not being as efficient as road tires. But, mtb does help to develop strength like you stated. Just keep at it and enjoy.

Just a tip - Assuming you don't have electronic shifting don't carry your bike through a river bed - but do use its wheels as two extra points of contact and stability just as you would use trekking poles as two extra points of contact . Best wishes & Safe Cycling Mindi

업힐할때는 안장 뒤에 앉으셔서 뒤꿈치가 살짝내려가게 해서 페달링하셔요 업힐할때도 근육을 여러가지를 쓰셔아해요 그래야 안 지치고오래타요 자주 에너지바 드셔요 큰근육을 사용해서 칼로리 소모량 장난아닙니다

That´s the way every MTB ride starts. "I am going to the mountain with me MTB, 5 minutes later you are pushing your bike despite having a 50T cassette 😅
Cameraman has a lot of skills because he can keep the len steady even in the slopes.
Honestly the problem going down a step slope is not 8, 10% (I myself consider it´s dangerous if it´s more than 15%) but the quality of the surface and/or lack of grip is the scariest thing.
About the cadence it´s true, in MTB you have to be able to apply power in lower gears and not always a lot of cadence, but that take time dont worry (if you look the legs of MTB vs road bikes it´s easy to see MTB leg muscles are bulkier).

I have never tried riding clipped in on my mountain bike. Being able to dab right away just makes me feel more confident esp. on a rocky downhill.
