If you do that in a country that goes below freezing temperatures then you need to provide a more solid foundation with higher strength rebar and cement.
Fortunately, my country don't have freeze😊

Just like how you lay floor titles in vietnam. You can do that in vietnam “ where you put wet cement on dirt/sand then floor tiles on. Its ok for vietnam but in america its a code violation.
