Back in the day some might say he would have ended up not so well in the end. However that couldn't be any further from the truth. What a journey. Leben was 1 of the most exciting fighters ever. He looks and sounds great!

I’ve struggled with complete sobriety and after watching this and seeing Lebens turnaround has motivated me to become completely clean.
Find other addicts who are trying to become sober. You can do it for free at local NA / AA meetings look it up. Don't try to stop alone.
I too struggled with being completely clean and sober for many years. I thought I'd at least smoke weed for the rest of my life. When I finally made a real commitment, went all in for my recovery and decided to truly live a spiritual life, all in.....I did it. I've been completely clean and sober over 5.5 years. 6 years in June if I make it, God willing. You CAN DO IT. If I can do it, if Leben can do it, so can you bud.
I'm rooting for you.
I went to AA/NA meetings in rehab for 10 weeks might want to look that up. Finding a local AA / NA meeting costs nothing.

Followed Chris since tuf one he’s a real mma pioneer. Love his fighting style a real fan favourite much respect to him. Glad he has found sobriety and real happiness he’s a good dude.

Man Chris leben is the man. I loved watching his fights. Win or lose, it was always a crazy fight. I met him in hawaii at the Ala Moana shopping center. I shook his hand and told him how much I loved watching him fight. He said thank you, sir. He was talking to these 2 Japanese girls. So, I didn't want to distract him from the mission for too long. But he has such an inspirational story.
I hope that Rampage can squash the beefs with Forest, Wanderlei and Chael so they can also be interviewed on day

Chris was the first version of the Korean Zombie in that it was almost impossible to put him away, and the closer Chris got to being knocked out, the more dangerous he became and the chance of Leben getting the KO win went up as well. Sounds and talks just like Ken Shamrock to me lol.
Chris Leben was the fighter that Anderson Silva was given to prove he was that good. Crazy fight. The last person you want to fight is someone with a hard head, strong jaw, and powerful punches.

Leben always brought the fight to his opponent when they were locked in the cage, & big ups to him for continuing to be a positive influence in the fight world even if he’s not competing.

Little known fact: Leben's fight with Josh Koscheck was the highest rated episode of the season. Higher than the finale. It was Leben's feud with Koshcheck and Bobby Southworth that drove the success of that first season, and got another season signed by Spike halfway thru that season.
Chris has experience and integrity. We need more coaches AND officials of his ilk.

Leben is the guy who you want to have your back in any situation. Hes a beast.
That's why he's a legend. He knows when one guy is just going to hold on to a leg and the other guy is just going to twist of of it.i think he is saying to know quick if that guy belongs in there any longer than that.

Years back, Chris Leben was a guy I fully expected to hear was found dead in a hotel room from an overdose. I'm very happy to see he's in such a great place in his life now and is helping others.
For what it's worth, Chael credited Rampage as a big inspiration for having a personality and humor on the mic when he was on Mighty Mouse's podcast. Bring him on the show! Would be a huge episode

Chris Leben. A dude you could always count on. Your money was not wasted if this guy was on the card. Couldn't stand him in his early days but he became on of my favourite fighters. One of the last oldschool brawlers. A character.
This was an amazing interview! Been a Leben fan since watching him on season 1 of the Ultimate Fighter. Dude has matured to be a wise man with great knowledge to pass down to the next generation.

The Cat Smasher! Dude is my favorite fighter of all time. Nobody had heart like Leben. He was the only one on TUF to finish the treadmill exercise and he did it after drinking all night. He talked his shit but owned up to it when he needed to. The TUF incident, drugs, drinking, and the fight with Hall; he wasn’t afraid to be vulnerable, even with the whole world watching. He never hid who he was. Wish he wasn’t so hard on himself about the Hall fight. It wasn’t an easy choice to make when you have money, health, pride on the line. He didn’t fake an injury, shoot and offer up his back for an easy out, or try to just stay passive and survive until the end. He was unable to fight like the fighter he is and refused to fight like a coward. Going back out to get your career in combat sports shortened or become a highlight reel ko isn’t commendable. Overcoming the ugly parts is. Super proud of him.
