Am not Filipino, am sudanese, but went to Filipino school for 5 years, I absolutely love everything about them and their culture, especially their foods
Regarding the running water from the faucet when doin' your business, it really is dual purposed. One is filling up the reserve water in the bucket or drum. Two, is for sound effects to mask the splash damage 💦 or for the easterly winds 💨 😂😂😂😂. The "Tabo" is a form of bidet or container for water for washing the funky _crevice_ with soap and water thoroughly. Also for washing your non-dominant hand with soap n water. (It's more hygienic than you think yucky)😂😁😬
Filipinos carry Indonesian DNA and part of some Indonesian term are absorbs in Tagalog language like Lamok, Anak, Pasuk the Visayan came from the Shrivisayan Empire
😂 I still do it here in Italy during summer season and ants are everywhere. I protect the foods left on the table that way. It's something I learnt young and appreciate
True. Maybe someone who he lives with did it. That's not normal in Philippines. Maybe that someone opened the water faucet to fill up the pail because I do haha
Okay the reason why soon expiring ones are pushed to the front is what we call FIFO (First in first out) from what I've learned in food trades. They're making sure you use the soon expiring ones so nothing goes to waste.
😂😂😂that is a very good recommendation put the opened can in the center of the plate and surround it with water....highly recommend..of course we usually do that
Thanks for the tip against ants. I don't get a lot of ants here in the US, but at a certain time of year they come in. Oh, here in the US, some of us use handheld washlets, not tabos (if a bidet is not installed into the toilet). My late mom used a can when she was in exchange residency in the US (physician) and got frustrated every time the can was removed from the bathroom. She also used a stone and it also got removed every time. She had to ask people not to remove the can and the stone. 🤣🤣🤣
It’s not that bad of living in the Philippines because I live in the Philippines for seven years😊❤And everything you’re saying is actually true and they hope other people can also live in the Philippines too❤😊

Not sure about letting water run in the faucet while dumping is a thing in PH because that's wasting a finite resource.
bro as a filipino it is not about dumping. hahaha
At least people don't do that at home, maybe in public places like mall toilets etc, when you're ashamed strangers could hear your business.
I let water run while nature called 😅
