Singing live is a difficult art. Even an artistic legends like Madonna and Mariah fails at times... I don't know if it was a technical problem or Merilin being nervous or tense, but the contrast to this and the studio version... Well, it goes with out saying. I hope Merilin isn't too disappointed. She has still been a part of making one absolutely marvelous song, one of the best I have heard in a VERY long time.
Neiul on hääl olemas, aga vajab treenimist. Kiiresti õpetaja juurde. Mõne noodiga oli probleeme ning kõige suurem probleem oli diktsiooniga. No ei tohi kuulata seda "mumble" asja, ju ikka mõjutab artiste. PS. Soovitan veidike rohkem raamatuid lugeda, kuna on 19 ning intervjuud nagu 14-15 aastasel.
I love this song and this was the perfect way to ruin it. It was poorly executed, the staging, her dress and vocals were all out of place for me. One of the final notes sounded really good though. I expected something as her music video, less colour, something more simple. I still want to listen to more of her though, because I know she can sing and make a good song.

Laul muidu ise hea ja hea kuulata. Aga lõpp andis vähe kummalist effekti. Ma küll ei tea, kas nii pidigi olema aga kui laulda originaalis seda kohta, siis kõlaks hästi ma usun. 🙂2:33 - 2:44 . Aga muidu esitus oli super ja jätka samas vaimus, kuid rahvas võiks vastu esituse võtta, mis sellest et asendati teles veits seda. 🙂

That has been Estonia's largest criticism towards her. She tries to sing like Americans, and in that process she starts singing through her nose and not pronouncing words right.
@@peipei8474 I just google translate this sentence lol I think she had some problem with vocal technique as her voice was very nasal that night. I guess this was one of the reason that it sounded like she was mumbling. And the poor audio equipment from the organizer didn't helped
Been listening to this on repeat trying to work out what went wrong but now I think it's ETV's audio.. the backing track is quiet and she has an echo on the vocal making it sound flat and like a poor karaoke. Merilin also didn't seem to cope with the choreo and maintaining a strong vocal... If this was staged better it might have won. Shame :/

She sang 40% of her notes flat and off pitch. She tried too hard to emulate American singers and her vocals aren't meant for that.

This doesn't sound estonian.. I mean as native finnish speaker I should recognize estonian language and understand a word or two every now and then.. That is how Üks kord veel was for me and every other estonian song I can remember.
