I've never been to a Miku concert, but if I was going it would be for the hologram. They should be trying to make it more like Sharon Apple, not putting it on a flat TV... I'm not going outside, paying transportation costs, paying lodging costs, and paying ticket costs for something I can see at home without having to deal with crowds of people. I'd take the money and get a good VR headset, if there isn't a VR Miku already I'm sure someone will come up with something.
Its crazy to see how poorly managed this Expo has been. Not only is there the LED screen issue but in the past the merch booth was in the venue and VIP ticket holders had first access to merch since they paid extra. This year they split the lines up for some reason so now there's a VIP line, GA line, and merch line. You lose your spot in line if you get merch basically. On top of that, in Portland they ran out of exclusive gift bag which was supposed to be handed out to every VIP ticket holder but lots didn't get it even though they know how many VIP tickets were sold. As I VIP ticket holder and a fan of Vocaloid for over a decade, I hope I don't get screwed over as well ;-;

If they had openly advertised and stated that they wouldn't use the holograms ahead of time that's one thing but if they were radio silent and didn't address the removed the holograms until after tickets were already being bought. The interesting thing is; they've used LED screens a select couple of times in the past 15 years of concerts, and those few times they used them, they roughly worked because the stage design was set up *with* the screen in mind, like Miku Fes 24; where the LED screen was set back as the center piece of the entire stage design and the live band positioned in front of the screen to the left and right. *If they were going to do this, then the WORST move was just placing the screen randomly in the front and center of everything, IN FRONT of the LED strips of the stage design.* If they had just changed the stage design, the negative feedback would be So much less What makes me more mad than that is how they had the band set up behind a cage-style design. That is just criminal, and it is a VERY western thing to do in concert production. No Crypton concert produced by a Japanese production team has *Ever* had the band *that* far behind the screen, and it just shows that this concert had some fundamentally isolated direction. The band have been one of the top 3 main features of the concerts ever since they started having the events, and any musician who plays for the events deserves way better placement on stage At least the new band lineup is cool and the producers didn't remove the band introduction. If they did, I would have gotten my money back immediately.
I wonder if the holograms are being updated/upgraded and they had to be changed? Or one has a problem that all the others have that they need to fix? sucks though for the Hatsumiku fans.
