  • THE FINAL REVEAL!!!
    Well... we can at least see the floor! And that's progress!!
    This video has me EVERYWHERE!
    From the barn making sure my ewe lambs are adjusting to their new space...
    To the finishing barn trying to figure out if I have enough lambs to ship...
    To the fields planting cover crops...
    And then to my hoarder garage to do ONE EPIC CLEAN.

    This might sound silly but I'm so proud of you guys for trying to care for the soil and rely less on synthetic fertilizer. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

    • @gregedmand9939
      @gregedmand9939 Před rokem

      Not all soil is created equally as fertile. Yes, every farmer's goal is to work more organic material into the soil, because it feeds the "bugs" and increases volume. But what you call "synthetic" is a misnomer. EVERYTHING a human puts Ito the ground is artificially placed there. That includes composted manure. What you are disdainful of, is the practice of putting nitrogen, in concentrated form, back into the soil. It isn't some exotic complex molecule like pesticides that can work their way into the food chain. It's just a nitrogen compound, designed to quickly replace what nature may take years to do. Farmers used to have to leave fields unused until time replaced it. Or plant nitrogen fixing crops that can't be baked into bread. You would not be enjoying cheap economical food or the nutrition giving extended lifespan without it!

    I love your positivity about cover crops. I hear other youtubers whinge about them, it’s an investment in your soil! Here in Australia we scramble for good soil and moisture - soil needs to be supported.

    I think I could be a bit jealous of the tele-handler. I want one so I can pitch trash through a hole in the roof. It’s got to be a great feeling to get so much done. You are such a hard worker! I have such an appreciation for farmers and all that you do. You deserve a real stubby in the tubby.

      @@lddemera Thank you so much. I have watched all the past videos. BTW, it's not discourage her, but, just wanted to convey my message.

    You need a white board in your main barn office space. That way you can record any chores that you need to do or want to get done and that can give you some kind of a time frame to help keep you more organized. And yes I know things can go totally out of whack in a second.

    Insulaters...as a kid when AGT ...the telephone Co. Was changing to underground lines, we collected the insulators off the stock pile of phone poles. We had hundreds of them. Now people pay money for them as there are many around any more. Nice job fall cleaning.
