    Game changer Tony, THAT is indeed a mulcher! I see at 8:28 you have experienced why no one or anything valuable or litigious should be in front of the tractor. I call that a land shark, whe a stem gets fired out the front. You'll not regret having a machine like that in your inventory.

    Tony that is a beast. TTWT (Tim) has done several videos with this machine. Key learning is to back in with it a few inches off the ground and then lower to ground level and repeat pass. Fewer branches shoot forward and it clears out all the short trunks right to ground level. Overloading it is a constant problem but as you learned take it slow.

    Why did you opt for a 3pt mount instead of a front mount unit? I've seen skid steer mounted mulchers and it seems SO much more convenient to raise the mulcher and lower it into trees and brush, PLUS you don't have to wrench your neck and back around constantly to see where you're going.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  Před rokem

      You just described a $100k plus machine. 😁 The mulchers on skid steers require high flow hydraulics. Tractors don't have the ability to run that type of mulcher on the front. Mine is PTO driven. It would be different for everyone, but it doesn't bother me to look backwards. I don't think people would buy this one to run 8 hours each day. Still, I don't think I would want to do this for 8 hours straight.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  Před rokem

      It is virtually impossible for something to hit me while in the operator station due to the way it is constructed. After playing with it a little more, I learned to tilt it forward just a bit to make it mulch even more. Rain is a must. I am tapping out until rain.

      I would have the rear tires loaded and use the heaviest implement you have on the back. Honestly, there is now way for me to answer your question with the information you gave me. The best answer I can give you, is if the back of the tractor is getting light, you need more ballast. Tillers, rotary cutter, forestry mulcher. Most box blades are only 300 pounds.
