This woman is very talented, and compared to the true basic shelters she’s built, this is a palace, complete with ornate details & decor. People of the west and in my age group (60) will understand: I can’t help it, but my mind goes right to ‘Gillian’s Island’!! They all had access to the same materials, yet all the characters had built homes unique to their characters. When I watched this particular video I couldn’t help but think, “This is where the How’s would live” 🧐…am I the only one? I’d love to know more about this woman’s background & where she’s learned all her skills! Anyone know which country this is in?

Can anyone be able to offer some incite on how long these structures are expected to last before they become un-useable anylonger? The time and attention to detail is amazing to say the least.
Idk mate but I think if we look at that clay mosque in africa..thats been there since over 1k years so ..kinda long! 😃😉💪👌👍😎☝😇❤🤲✌
It looks like she might be in Cambodia or Vietnam, Laos, that area. The clay seems to be a soft cement, vines everywhere and bamboo. Once that thatch sets up its going to be cement again, and the construction just gets stronger with all the spars and supports tied together. Supported her weight well enough.
I wish I knew more about geology, but I’m inclined to think there’s a lot of sand in that earth, due to the ease with which her instruments cut right through. She’s not hitting rock; she just chips away. As you said, a lot of clay should explain a lot. But in my mind I’m thinking if there’s a high sand content, when the rain comes will it break it down???
@@lesliebblack I would refer you back to DADDY 😉..clay mosque they disrespectfully describe as mudd mosque 😂😅...now over that length of time even a slight downpour, wind,not forgetting all the sandstorms..? This lady has a proven method, that does stand up to monsoon season, which is over a thousand years old. First dig down to the dense clay and smooth out the walls and steps. Cut and fasten all your Bamboo roofing together, first layer of protection. Mix water and straw grass together and slather thickly onto the bamboo, and then the walls, floors, steps, second layer of protection. Place growing grass sod on the roof, the final layer of protection as the growing grass forms a dense root system, it will not let much water soak through. The clay, straw, water combined, and dried is as strong as concrete. Another hint that the monsoon season will not collapse her buildings is the swimming pools, and the bathtubs she builds in other videos. They are made the same way as the walls and they hold water without crumbling, she even paints them, and the color does not come off. Common sense my friend, common sense.

I'm thinking that the paint is some kind of plant-based color, at least it would fit the design of this wonderful place. She sure works hard!
