  • Using the DI match function on rhythms and leads. On the blue power light you can see when it's on and bypassed.
    It does take out boxy stuff even though it's subtle but still noticeable in a mix. Great tool to have in my opinion.

    Couple questions: I noticed the rhythm guitar input and output signal level is in the orange, should it be brought into the green or is orange still optimal? Also, noticed the spectral matching and level matching is at full or near full level. Have you tried it at say, 30% or, what instance would you change these settings and what do they do in your opinion?

      Hey.
      I always record as hot as possible without going into the red. Orange is totally okay, even red here and there is fine. You need a healthy level so if it’s too low, you won’t be using your plugins most effectively. You want the saturation from the amp.
      I put it on 100% just for the effect and this video. I’d say with older strings it’s definitely more noticeable, my strings were fresh when I recorded it.
