The Noosa Bar. Tuesday morning, May 28, 2024.

Very dark and gloomy here in Noosa this morning. The sun made a brief appearance through the thick cloud but came out on top later. A 6 to 8 knot southerly blowing at the river mouth. No bird or pelagic activity as far as I could see. BOM forecast is for south easterly winds 10 to 15 knots, reaching up to 20 knots offshore during the afternoon and evening. Seas: Around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres offshore north of Maroochydore during the morning. Swell: South easterly below 1 metre inshore, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres offshore. Filmed between 6.00am and 6.40am which was about half an hour and a half after a 0.76m low tide. Background Music: 'Stranger In the Way'... by RAGE.

Haha, I found a fishing rod in that river one time!! We were hiking to the north and looking for surf up that beach, and I stepped on the rod. It was a decent jigging PENN. Funny story, while living in Noosa, I left the rod and reel on consignment, never to be heard from again....fair dinkum
