This trilogy is amazing. Such a shocking ending. The whole thing is like watching a tv show, the story telling is brilliant. All great individually but Violets Tale is next level. The timing and way he maintains the rhythm and beat with just his voice is fantastic.

When my husband goes to work and my son goes to college, I put RENs videos on and sing along at the top of my lungs, just as ren sings them. My mum would be ashamed god rest her sole, or she would have just joined in. It would have been great. Brilliant tale.
It's been said before, but Ren is the definition of a modern day bard. Musician, entertainer, storyteller, artist. I'd read that, the story of Jenny was inspired by a real life report that Ren heard of, of a 14 year old boy on murder charges, Screech's and Violet's tales were of his own creation, with Screech's written not long after Jenny's, and Violet's was written a few years after, tying them all together.
It's deep it's dark but it's also genius. It's incredibly musical, theatrical and emotional. Oops I missed out tragical. I've listened to all Ren's songs and I have never been more impressed. I'm 62 and a guitarist that plays metal and blues. But I know talent when I here it, Ren has talent in bucket loads.

For violets tale they took 20 takes and ended up with 6 or 7 full live takes to choose from. This one they chose was take #2. Ren did all the sound mixing on these videos as well. He said the sound mixing took a long time to get right on violets tail since each room and hallway had different acoustics.
