I don't remember where I learned this, but when I do a magic circle with chenille yarn, I just use regular yarn for the circle. Make a double loop with regular yarn, put your chenille stitches into it, then pull the ends and tie together. Always works great, never shows once it's tied up and is super easy to do. You can work over the end of the chenille yarn in the next round if you're worried about it coming undone.
WHY DID I NEVER THINK ABOUT DOING THE MAGIC RING SMALLER🤣 Makes so much sense, and less rage😂
This is what I do with bulkier Chantelle yarn all the time. Regardless of how loose I make my stitches it still will not tighten.
It’s Monday - I always always always go straight to your channel when I come to YT on Mondays! 😊 seriously, EXCELLENT video! I really have been struggling with facial features; if you have any more tips, I would love to have ‘em. Even different smiles, you know? Eyelashes, mouths, all of it - I struggle hard. Thank you! Thank you! Have a great week! ☺️🫶🏻🧶
Great video! I like the tip of adding just a little detail to the plain safety eyes. I also really like those glitter eyes you used! So cute! Side by side with your pigeon was a great idea. It sure is the little things that matter! Thank you!
I like the way the eye is highlighted with the white on the sides, really makes a difference. Nice tip. Thanks
Been crocheting for over a year now but just starting amigurumi. I needed this video before I committed to my first project. Thank you !
Great tips! Fully agree about making a smaller magic circle when starting off
I have been crocheting for 3 weeks now and these tips are so helpful. Thank you for recommending the YU technique, I was unsure if I wanted to try, but my last project turned out so much better using it. Thank you so much!
Thank me so much for all the tips. I will use all of them.
Of course, thanks for watching (:
For the longest time I did yarn under for all my stitches because I didn’t know the difference! I only did it for the first one like you showed here. So I guess when I started amigurumi I was doing something right without even knowing!
Thank you so much for these tips. They were great.❤
Of course! Yay! So glad they were helpful (:
Tysm!! I love all of these tips I enjoy all of your vids!!!!
Aww thank you so much!! So glad you liked the video! (:
@@hooksandheelers OMG YOU REPLYED
Hi Annie. I loved this video. It’s amazing how much that tiny bit of white around the eye makes it look so much better. Have to go back and do that on some plushies. I struggle the most with the magic ring with chenille yarn. I’m pretty sure it’s because I crochet tightly. I will practice with some ugly Bernat blanket yarn I have laying around.
Excellent, thank you! ❤🧶
Urghh the magic ring makes me crazy with the chenille yarn! I'm going to try your tip.
I just commented on your last video asking about yarn snapping! Thank you so much for this advice Annie! I really need to try this later😊
Thanks for the tips! I definitely need to try the facial expression tips. I’ve never tried them before and I can remember so many missed opportunities. Excited!
You always bring out amazing content on Mondays Xxx That's what make my monday's so much more better and I have something to look forward to!
Thank you so much, it makes my day to hear you're enjoying my videos! (:

@@hooksandheelers of course girl 🫶🏼 your channel is one of my comfort channels 🥹🤍
The moth is so cute!!!
Thanks for all the great tips😉☺️🤟👍
Absolutely! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the tips.
Of course, thanks for watching!
y'know, I think I've been yarning under this entire time and didn't even know it XD
Been utilizing the yarn under the last several weeks. Love the look but am having issues because my tension is always tight and now it is too tight and I’m having a problem getting into my stitches.
❤
Too funny, I thought I was YOYO this whole time... Ive even stopped a few times to really watch, and thought something seemed off... but im so new to crochet, I figured I just didnt know what it was meant to properly look like. turns out I've been YUYO since the beginning 😂
Do you find it hard to get around the plastic backing on the eyes to add the facial detail?
I don't have an issue when I use the black safety eyes from Amazon!
Hi everyone
Hi! Thanks for watching!!
Melting the tip of yarn with a lighter slightly helps me with any breakage issues in 99.9% of cases.
You forgot to put in a "tip #2".
Oops, thanks for catching that! I think I meant for yarn under to be tip 2. Thanks for watching! (:
What I call each version
YOYO - yarn over proper
YUYO - ami yarn under
YUYU - yarn under proper
YOYU - don’t do this.
I love this😂
