- Join as we explore the HAUNTED Ohio State Reformatory in Mansfield, Ohio!
This massive prison has a haunted history as infamous as the building itself. Built between 1886 and 1910, the Reformatory housed criminals of all types, and some of them never left. Paranormal Activity is reported consistently throughout the prison to the point some people refuse to return after their ghostly encounter. Over 200 people lost their lives inside the walls of the prison and their energy is still heard, felt, and seen to this day. Footsteps, Apparitions, Shadow Figures, and Disembodied Voices are just some of the many phantom experiences reported in the cellblocks of this 136 year old prison. So today, we'll venture inside to see what we experience or capture and hopefully return for an overnight paranormal investigation before the year's end. Let us know if you'd like to see us venture inside this prison after dark!
Mansfield Reformatory is also famous for the filming of the 1994 movie "The Shawshank Redemption", and many parts of this prison can be seen in the adaptation of Stephen King's infamous short story.

Hey guys, a really interesting video. I knew about 10 guys that did time there (OSR). It was a very rough joint to do time in, infact a friend of mine did time there and in the Ohio Penitentiary. He claimed the O.P. was a much easier prison to do time in. I've heard some real horror stories about that place (OSR). I hope you guys do a night investigation there soon!

You can’t imagine how much I enjoyed this episode, guys!! For us foreigners that most probably will never visit those locations, having a daytime tour of each place is just amazing. Why not do them for each location you investigate? With your epic drone shots, your narration skills and just your super fun personalities I’m sure you’d get lots of views for those daytime tour-mini investigations videos too. I’ve been there several times. My EMF meter went off just as I walked through the door to the cells, but I felt lightheaded and I could feel something strange in the chapel part right before you get to the cell part. Neat place though.
Ya know guys I often wonder if the members of the cast had any personal experiences there while filming . And if they have ever been interviewed about it . That would be way kool!

Paranormal doesn't only happen at night or even necessarily even more at night. We just pay more attention at night. Especially residual hauntings. Especially since when that's when people are most active. I've seen and caught tons of activity and evidence during the day.

I enjoyed this mini episode, definitely go back.
I've been there 5 times within 3 yrs between 2005 & 2008. Did Hollywood tour (grounds and inside) Warden's tower tour (inside) but mostly walked around the building, with various friends and family members. Honestly what we've seen outside was far more scary. Next time check out that lake to the left in front. There's paranormal activity there that rather frightened me the most. I would love to tell you all my adventures there but there's so much.
