Uta HDHR 3xMiss, Yomi Yori HD 4xMiss due to nerves and the INSANE reverse choke on Everything Will Freeze HDHR. Yep all these were set before the first actual 900pp play and all of them are 1kpp if fc
Ye but that's pretty irrelevant since you can say that for so many players, if player 'x' didn't choke he wouldve got 'y', ye that's how it works because fcing is really hard. Furthermore, if cookiezi was close to 1kpp you wouldve expected his choked to be at least 900pp worth but they werent, this just shows that cookiezi too was far away from 1k.

He had very minor chokes that with time or grind could easily be worked put but he wasnt focused on farming but just playing so he never grinded. This is especially evident in the fact he came back to some f those maps after his break, like time freeze hdhr and with only a few attempts found himself far over 900 at times and borderline 1k before choking, with acc beyond 1k if fc. Your logic says fgsky, idke, and karthy all could never hit high pp because their initial plays choked and werent close to the barrier. Which we have physical proof is not true

I dont think you realise just how hard it is not to choke on a map, someone 4 missing a map doesnt always mean they are close to the fc is all I'm trying to say, and a huge amount of improvement and more skill may be required not to repeat a choke.

younger people will always get better than their predecessors because they grow up with a better environment. in this case they have faster and more jump heavy maps from the beginning and their muscles are "trained" differently + learning to read high AR . of course thats just a rough explanation and applies to the most talented

TECHNICALLY, it took negative 6 months to get from 800 to 900 pp. Cookiezi's freedom dive hdhr is now 900, and since the second 800 was remote control Six months later, it means cookiezi skipped 800 before anyone else had it. At least by today's pp metric.
He was so powerful in 2013 that he had to get banned, only to re-emerge in 2015, still somehow too powerful. You could say that the hundred pp milestones are arbitrary, but each time, he set a new record way above the previous one. He didn't really try very hard, but he played FD4D HDHR in 2013 a couple of times, and people thought it was absolutely insane he could even hold any combo at all because practically no one was anywhere near FCing the map nomod. I couldn't believe it when he got the HR FC, and the HDHR FC was something he'd been long waiting and preparing for, a well-deserved win for sure. Even though it ain't even that much pp today, it will always stand as an absolutely incredible play to me.
