No one has mention the bottle cap opener on the top of the scale body. It works really well.

Having said that it's obvious you did NOT field test it and I did...
Here's several reasons I returned it for a full refund:
✔️ it is NOT waterproof and even humidity interferes with its functionality
✔️ the battery cover falls off by one simply lifting the scale to level of vision
✔️ the gripper assembly is held to the scale via microscopic nut the size of a sunflower kernel. On a fifty lbs rated scale that's inexcusable I had it hanging from my belt while wading the Susquehanna and guess what gripper stayed locked on my waist - scale ended up on the rocks
✔️ the Bluetooth function is a dud
✔️ the scale powers off in seconds sooner than it takes between zeroing it out and reaching for your fish in the net or livewell

Thanks for checking out our video. I definitely field tested the scale and continue to do so every fishing trip.
- Not sure what version of the scale you have but this scale does not have Bluetooth. Yes there is a Bluetooth symbol in the UI but I imagine it is for a future version of the scale. It is not lit ever. The documentation does not even reference Bluetooth as a feature (at least on mine).
- The version I have there are no nuts on the gripper assembly.
- I just tested the scale power off, and it has been on for over 3 minutes while i type this comment.
- As for humidity issues, not sure on that one. I live in Oklahoma and currently we have about 98% humidity and no issues on our scale.
- And yes the bottle opener is cool!
Overall our scale has been great. I am sorry you have had a bad experience with it.

On the Bluetooth remark "dud"="not functional" as many wonder when they purchase
The tiny nut holds the gripper to the weigh plate of the scale
When you've found it it's time for a new scale 😜
Don't get me wrong big fan of Rapala just disappointed with this particular product
Still in my recommended amazon list just design flaws were too many

Yeah to be honest I never even noticed the Bluetooth icon until someone else pointed it out. I just assumed it was not implemented in this version.

I don't understand lyubakavideo. The battery cover is fine and secure. The 'power off' feature is timed right unless, he's downing that beer before weighing the fish! Bluetooth wasn't advertised as far as I know.
Most scales are not waterproof. My version also has no nuts on the gripper assembly.
It's possible he's on the wrong link... It's also possible he got a 'counterfeit' scale.
For the price, it would be hard to find a similar scale with the features this has.
Yes if your going to drag it through water all day wading I wouldn’t expect it to work anymore.

How do you change it back to pounds. Mine is stuck on pounds and ounces
I bought this scale last year and wasn't happy with it at all. 1st. you couldn't see the reading on sunny day's. 2nd the keypad only worked about 50% of the time 3rd. the scale itself only worked for about two months and then it completely quit working. 4th Rapala customer service is very bad, I tried working with them to replace the unit only to find out they needed a receipt that I had lost.
Man that is a bummer. I still have mine and use it every trip. Still works great. Sorry you had a bad experience with it. Thanks for watching
I bought two of these, one for my partner and one for me. I purchased them two years ago. We only fish in the
summer. This summer, the second year, both units just quit working. Neither unit has been wet. I removed the batteries in both units numerous times with no effect. My unit is always in my tackle bag, away from the elements, but this proved to be of no value. I'm looking for another scale to replace this one. I like the functions on this unit, but I am reluctant to buy a new on. Is there anyone who repairs these?
There is a "Bluetooth" symbol on the display that I can;t seem to connect too. WHAT IS IT USED FOR?

How good is the clip? Will it weigh 5/6/7+ lb fish? Does it harm their lip?
I have weighed big fish (4+lbs) and have had no problems. The clip does not puncture the lip of the fish.
How accurate is the scale? Did you weigh a known object to check.

Everytime I turn the scale on now, it goes to the screen that says "cal". I keep trying to calibrate it but it doesn't work, then after it'd go to the original screen with the slots and the weights won't be correct. Do you know how I can fix this?
Man sorry you are having that. Perhaps remove/replace the battery and see if that helps it.

Mine is accurate. I check with two other accurate scales, one being the post office.
