This guy has a long way to go! Not many filmmakers are so perfectly articulate about their work/thoughts. Many congratulations :)
Anupama is sucker for stories and conversations. Love that about her! Keep doing that you wonderful woman
Wonderful that Anupama Mam covered Mr.Sen. I was not aware till I discovered this video about Mr.Shaunak Sen's film. I am glad a documentary film is getting recognition and coverage. Hope documentaries find a wider audience in India. Very proud moment for India 😊.
Congratulations Shaunak Sen. I've been one of the closest friends of your Father Shubhankar. This was very emotional that you dedicated this movie to your late Father. May Almighty bless you 🙏.

Will be good if FC, after this, actually interviews Indian docu filmmakers who have been at it for ages without any recognition of this sort. I bet Anupama Chopra herself wouldn't have heard the name of Shaunak if it wasn't for ATB winning at Sundance and let alone that, even if it didn't make it to Cannes.
Good to see such an intelligent, articulate speaker - in the days of frivolous programs like Big Boss or Rodies surrounding us!!
Great achievement Man 🙏🏻🙏🏻
India need more filmmakers like Shaunak who give wings to their imagination in ways that not many could do. Here a movie is being judged by how much money it earned at the box office , commercial success is not a success unless we have a mind that as gifted as Shaunak's mind is
Congratulations Mr. Sen.
Articulated his thoughts beautifully, especially the part about you being there with a camera and capturing something that no one else could see was really beautiful.
Dr. Sen, to be accurate.
Yesterday I was watching his interview with DD’s Munmun at Cannes and was in awe of his intellect and for the lone submission from India. I wish him all the best. I hope indies and documentaries get more spotlight. I am loving these sessions from Film Companion.
Coming here way back then after hearing some buzz about an Indian doc film , this fine interview really made you look forward to the film and root for the filmmaker.
Shaunak, if you are reading this - I have been trying for years to find a way to screen Cities of Sleep for my students. I teach at King's College London. Please can you make it available for purchase/rent for libraries and unis. Congratulations on all your accolades!
IP College screened it a few years back. You should write to Sen directly.
I have it

he's from my school and i meet you everywhere
Yup looking forward to seeing the dreams of this dreamer.... Don't get lost in the woods ... you have a long way to go ...fingers crossed
this young director should go long way in film making to make all of us realise the reality around us. Salute to his creativity.
Such a gem ! Pride of Bengal and India
And this is why we need more educated film makers in the business
And how he described Delhi’s air pollution between October to January is spot on. Mask wearing in Delhi was a thing way before Covid.
Loved the relevant questions. She knows how to channel the conversation. I loved this piece as well.
Heartiest Congratulations Shaunak Sen!!!
You made India proud! 🙌💞🙏
Such a delicious conversation. A filmmaker to look out for.
His conversations with N Shah and Abhishek Chaubey for Tehelka are interesting.
Thanks for doing this, Team FC!
Amazing! So proud of u Shaunak 👍

Following this guy from days when he was journalist and use to talk about films to filmaker .he is smart guy.
What an intelligent man
Many congratulations Shaunak for your hardwork and accomplishment! Very proud of you as an artist and of course as Co-JNUite!
Ain't he from Jamia's MCRC

The sound could’ve been better. I hope FC doesn’t reserve their best efforts only when it’s the big stars but also for people who’re actually making the country proud!

Everything he said went over my head. No clue!
Maybe It's like some abstract art, looking forward to watch the doc. So that I can fully contextualize this interview. Or maybe it's for some elite audiences.
