The two scenes with Nancy should not have been cut, especially the first. That scene provides absolutely necessary context as to why she would run off with Edward at the end of the movie. In isolation, there is little to no motivation for her to do that. Her waking Edward up, while not so essential, at least puts them together.

I really think they should have kept Nancy's scenes. I mean, I get why they cut them as they likely felt it didn't really add to the main storyline. BUT, it would also have added so much more context to Nancy/Edward's whirlwind romance. It looked like her and Robert worked together. But, deep down, Nancy is a hopeless romantic and absolutely adores lovey-dovey gestures. (Which was hinted at in the movie.) Throwing in how she's always dreamed of prince charming taking her away to his castle and living happily ever after with him would have made her running-away scene with Edward make total sense. She got her prince charming, got whisked away to a castle and will happily ever after with him. Just like she dreamed of as a girl.
I wonder if the idea was to sort of stack the deck against Nancy at the beginning to show that Giselle was the right fit for Robert. True, I sort of wish that they wouldn't do that at times, or at least just go with the original idea and not change it around, but that is me. Let me put it this way: I am tired of the cliche where the life at the beginning is not as good as the changed life at the end that is forced on the characters.

I like that you don't want to make Nancy a bad person, but I guess the idea was to show that Robert really didn't belong with her in the end so they wanted to sort of focus on Giselle more.

It adds excitement to the story. ..well for the finished product, it seems like it's being hurried up. I can say it even before I watched these deleted scenes. Well, I guess I can conclude now. The fact she didn't sing is so sad, because she has an amazing voice, and in an ENCHANTED interview she said: "My song will probably be a nice surprise for the audience"... She has a much bigger voice than any of the cast members, and she has been on Broadway (I geeked out when I saw a scene where you see the WICKED billboard (AAAAAA!)

lol I'm now halfway through season 7 and it is just so awesome. My cousin got me hooked on it and everyday that she doesn't have to work, we pretty much spend the entire day watching Bones.

Kevin wasn't just the director, he did Pip's voice when he was in NYC and sounded like Alvin's cousin.
