  • Easy ways to increase your #progesterone levels naturally đŸ‘‡đŸœ
    I’ve shared a little bit about how different this #pregnancy has been for me compared to my other ones and my progesterone levels has been one of the focus areas early on. While they weren’t dangerously low, I definitely needed to focus on trying to increase them.
    For those of you who don’t know, your progesterone levels play a major role in supporting your baby’s growth and development until your placenta is fully formed and takes over. Having low progesterone levels can make it difficult to get pregnant and/or stay pregnant. This is also why I know this baby was all a part of God’s plan for us because my levels were even lower before I got pregnant.
    In my first trimester, I focused on natural ways to increase my progesterone at home before considering progesterone pills since they aren’t a natural source.
    A few ways I did this was through:
    1. Progesterone Cream made from Wild Yams
    2. Adding more citrus fruits to my diet, especially grapefruit
    3. More magnesium rich foods like bananas
    4. Increasing DHA (thankfully, I already take Cod Liver Oil daily so this was an easy one).
    Now, that I’m out of my first trimester, I’m happy to report that my levels have significantly exceeded where my midwives want me to be đŸ™ŒđŸœ
