Yep, ridiculous scam artist. I had brand new car $40 K, bi weekly payments. I had left my job as a computer engineer and started building houses, contracting, a little shy after start ups, bought a crew-cab truck for cash, payroll YADDA YADDA. I got behind on payments, Ford Finance called me after I think it was two months. We had a long talk, the guy I talked to asked me when I could start payments agarin, I told him end of month once I started getting draws on some houses. But I told him I couldn't pay the back payments for a couple more months just resume the monthly, he said don't worry about it, as long as I made regular payments from then on they would not reposess it. He was allowed to defer two payments a year, which he did, so that left me about 3 payments behind. I added an extra 100 a month caught up and that was it.
Imagine suing someone, having no evidence to prove they’re guilty and then saying “he can vouch for me.” Like yeah gurl he’s totally gonna incriminate himself. 😂

Seems like some sort of scam- sell someone a car, let them make one payment, become uncontactable then repossess it prematurely and sell it all over again.... I guess most people would just rather cut their losses over $300, good on her for taking this low-life to court.
She could easily prove her payments if she just printed out her bank statement. I believe her tho, he seems shady as hell.

What town do you live in with an active bus system? These people sound country. Rural areas don’t have busses
Not everyone lives in a place that has public transportation or it’s not reliable. A lot of my family lives deep out in the country. Some people NEED vehicles.

Mine is about that much. It’s only a little higher because I financed my extended warranty into my loan. I bought a late model small SUV back in September. The previous vehicle I financed was like $250 a month.
I pay $219 bi weekly. I’ve actually been paying $250 to try to beat the interest.. I’m hoping to refinance asap.. it’s finally been a year 👍🏾 wish me luck… I’m only 27 . Living and learning!!!

If you buy something or are making payments always ask for a receipt the best way to pay is with a card so you have your proof if anything goes bad.
Always use a Legitimate Banking system when purchasing a car or anything larger. Even if you have money , money, the last payment can turn into a chess game. For instance, paying off the last 25% right away.

This might sound, I don't know, out of touch, privileged, whatever you want to call it, but is a $2000 car something you can't just pay for in one go? I understand making payments every month if the car was like, $20,000 or something, but for a used car, $2000 is quite cheap. I would rather be patient, save up that money and pay once off, than be worrying about making repayments every week/month. Isn't that the whole point of buying used cars over new? You're telling me she didn't even have up to $2000 saved up somewhere? I know this isn't really the main point, but I just found it a bit odd. I don't want to sound like I'm dismissive of people's financial situations, I'm by no means wealthy myself, but I just think if you don't have the money for something that is essentially a luxury like a car just yet, then wait a little until you've got it to save yourself all this headache.
Most people live paycheck to paycheck. I used to not really think wow 2K is a lot until starting work and paying bills and realizing how hard it is to save any money esp when things like illness and stuff come up. It’s better to slowly pay than to take a huge chunk out of any savings you have in case something was to happen that you’d need the money asap

That's printed and it is very possible to muck with the dates and print it out on a computer making it look like a text message. The bank will print out months of statements in a matter of a couple minutes, he may be 'shady' but I don't believe her.

It always amazes me that people leave their valuables in their cars. Then they are upset when their car is broken into. & their property is taken. Foolish Sorry if I had cash & no were save to leave it ,I would put it in my bra.
Unless you are leaving valuables out in the open or don’t lock your vehicle most of the time your stuff is relatively safe. Most thieves aren’t going through the trouble of breaking a car window and possibly attracting attention unless they are pretty sure it’s going to be worth it.
That is true. I live in what is considered a low crime area. But large apartment building are a feast. But even when I parked in my closed garage I emptied my car because who wants to waste time searching for what you need. I am amazed that folks "claim" they leave their laptops/ new cell phones n their car. Most people I see have their cell phones glued to their hand. I guess an was raised right my house is where my valuables belong unless am am living out of my car. I feel like people are scamming their insurance companies by making long list of things that are stolen. The only time I see windows being broken out of cars is when ex girlfriends are mad. There is no way I leave CASH unattended. Change but not real folding cash.
