    I was so frustrated with hand stitching until I picked up the Sinabroks punches. It's a game changer. (1.5mm 5mm spacing). Plus I just love the look.

    The stitch spacing shot was very helpful - thank you!

    I prefer the 5mm @ 1.2mm hole size. These work so well with Ritza 25 1mm thread and the a 004 needle. It is my go to 'stitch' for my bigger leather pieces. Stitching is so easy with a hole. The 1.2mm is hidden with the 1mm thread. The stitches lay flat with a bit of hammering. Completely agree. Multi punch and the 'must have' 2 prong for corners.

      Completely agree! Holes are much easier to hand-stitch. The thread easily goes through without much resistance. Thank you for watching! 🙏🏼

    I much prefer flat chisels than holes. The look of holes always reminds me of the amateur kits from Tandy.

    For my wallets & card holders, I am planning to buy Sinabroks 3mm & 3.85 French obverse, even though I have Wuta 3.38(2+8)& Kevinlee 3.85(2+8).Your review make me wonder how this 6&7mm looks🙄...as I am afraid to go above 4mm on the small items. I have and use 4mm & 6mm: 2+4+6 round hole punches only for messenger and sling bags... Its great u have such confidence in 6&7mm👍🏽.

    When I first watched this video I thought that only an insane person would buy several varieties of these. Now having had mine (1.5x6mm) for only a few hours I'm already considering getting a second set. :D

      Very tempting to get another set because the tools are so awesome to use!

    Thank you for the review! If you were to buy either 5/6 or 8 prongs, how would you make your decision? Is it based on leather weight? Using mostly 6oz and up to 10oz leather. Thank you!

      My opinion alone, but I feel less prongs help with thicker weights. I think 6 is a good middle between 5 and 8 prongs.

      That is what I thought too about the weight. Decided on 2,4 and 8. Especially now that they brought a 10% off 🙂

    I keep teasing myself looking at these chisels, the price point still scares me though. It’s wild how big of a gap there is between the low end and high end stuff. Any recommendation on a good middle ground option when working up to these? I dig the look of 5mm diamond but Weaver’s been out of stock for a minute.

    • @wildflowerleatherco
      @wildflowerleatherco  Před 2 lety +1

      The pricking irons are little more affordable vs the punches from Sinabroks. Surprised Weaver is out of stock on the chisels. Might be worth looking at Tandy Leather, they might have the diamond chisels as well. If not, maybe other suppliers like RM Leather Supply, District Leather Supply, and/or Buckleguy. Thanks for watching and best of luck!

    What size of thread do you use with 1.5mm hole?

  • @tonycobb1895

    How long are the punches? What’s the max depth of leather one could use?

    • @wildflowerleatherco
      @wildflowerleatherco  Před rokem

      Id say 4 layers of 3.5 oz leather is good. Anything more can become a little more difficult to get clean holes on both sides.
