This game was AMAZING as a child. Would literally play it for HOURS AND HOURS!! The weapons were so inventive and so much about the game was unique. CLASSIC!!

Dual Charged Maulers were beast, them and the K7 Avenger were awesome, played for so long, loved that it had sims since i didnt have alot of friends that played games like i did
@@blackwaltz3135 I really liked the “FarSight” gun as you could shoot people through the walls. Also the laptop gun was so useful for a lot of sims!! I liked the RC-P120 great gun for rapid fire and the secondary function was invisibility! Love that the guns all had a second function
@@MrMessyb Yeah loved the farsight too, but it kind of did make things a bit easy lol but was fun when you just wanted to smash some sims lol. the second functionality was a really unique idea and very useful.
I would use the laptop Gun to watch my back if i was in a passage with two entrances, especially for hard sims or darksims
@@blackwaltz3135 yeah it did make things easy but so fun as the concept was so cool.
And yeah laptop gun came in so handy for difficult level sims, especially in high numbers. I’d make a base in certain rooms depending on the level.

Holy shit the memories. This was our FAVORITE college game! A 30-pack and 4 controllers with the suitemates was better than anything.

I hardly ever play games anymore but with no hesitation I could play this for hours. The nostalgia!
And this is why it's the best shooter ever. Crazy customization that hasn't been matched in any other shooters YEARS later!. If they just re-released this fixed the frame rate and made it so you could play every campaign level multi-player also plus added online. I'd never have to buy another shooter again. Perfect dark zero doesn't count. The reboot doesn't count. Has to be 64 but expanded.

Brings back memories damn this makes me wanna cry so much knowing how I used to play this with my little brother when life was good now we’re adults and I’m glad I can still call him my favorite sibling. He would always enjoy this game with me. The music always made him feel like in the future. Best game all time cant wait to reunite and play this with him🙌🏻💓🗡

Rare had some really great games... Perfect Dark, Golden Eye, Diddy Kong Racing and Killer Instinct. I would play these 4 games for hours on N64

honestly? to date the best fps multiplayer i have EVER played!! im not exaggerating! im talking about how FUN it was!!! and how many different mode it has, along with the medals and levels system, the customization of the characters, how funny it was!!!!!!! hands down really ! :))

This is the only reason I would say this game is better than Goldeneye the Bot sims were fun to play against on higher difficulties.
Shit always got real once you hit combat simulator, lol.

somebody of you maybe remember which level he reached on multiplayer?? i remember back then I was only 10 years old and playng day and night to this beautiful still unmatched fps game, unlocking everything possible and discovering aaaaaall the possible easter egg, but reached only max the level 4 in multi. I was really addicted anyway!!!! how much i loved it!
Played it a lot back then. Never got to reach rank 1, though. Got stuck at 3. never ceased to be fun
man i remember playing this at like 4-5 years old, and figuring out how to play multiplayer on my own by just pressing to see which button does what, but i only figured out how to play multiplayer, nothing else. i remember getting stuck in those trenches in that map and sneaking through the vents.

It’s way more fun to fight against PerfectSims if you’re a proficient.

This game blew Goldeneye 64 out of the way. I used to be play Goldeneye like crazy until this one came out. I remember there was a multiplayer level that had a design similar to the Matrix lobby fight ( was it Grid? ). It had elevators. I had so much fun destroying bots. I would setup the level so all weapons were explosive stuff. The bots would shoot rockets at each other point blank lol. Of course, when online multiplayer became more and more accessible, games like these began aging badly. They should definitely make a reboot of this franchise. Minus the frame rate issues of course. :P

Can you have this much fun on a PS4 or PS5? Absolutely not! You could even customize the names of the Sim Bots you fought against! I bought my save file over and changed the Sims name's to my relatives names and we were laughing out loud when their names popped up!
Until this very day, that Revenge Sim haunts me...
I fear if they (Rare) re-released this, they'll charge for extra maps, exclusive guns, outfits, characters, unnecessary trinkets and likely to play multiplayer. All of this - the game and the fun 1p vs 2p / CPU - all came altogether, not separate. It would be a total turn off and disregard for the fun factor of this beautifully aged, evolved 007...-- I mean, Perfect Dark.

I remember beating the Dark bots thinking I was the shit. Then Perfect bots appeared and damn.
Thank goodness this on Xbox and with online multiplayer and better resolution and FPS cause my eyes can’t take this anymore.

goldeneye x is the best version it’s perfect dark engine, smoother graphics then goldeneye but with simulants in multiplayer on goldeneye levels temple stack bunker etc so much fun

You didn't show what the different type of bot types there are like how each one will act different from one another, or run through how hard they can be before you picked easy.
I love paint ball mode, i like the opinion to switch the gore to fun at times because it's a game. I dont like always having to have too much gore all the time, im not a sick freak thats only in to that all the time in games, its a game they should all have a paint mode, and ways to mess it around still.

I actually have Perfect dark and a N64 but for some reason I can't play multiplayer or missions (from youtube videos)
Does your N64 have an Expansion Pack? If you don't have one, then the game only offers bits of the Combat Simulator
If you do have one, I'm not sure what's going on
I loved Goldeneye but I never played Perfect dark. But at first glance it looks awsome and the music is great!

If you finish some challenges you can have up to eight. Pretty sure that's how it was on the n64 as well.
