Arundhati may have her own views on Kashmir but history is testimony to the fact that the Hindu Raja o Kashmir preferred to be India. It was the Kabbalis who breached the India border and occupied what we call the POK.
The separatist was initially a small minority of people who started fuelling this thing called "Azad Kashmir" after the hanging of Maqbool Butt.

@@arjuncalidas2736 Agree. Actually there's so much mess in India we cant bring all the issue in one topic. Further listening to her I realize that Pakistan government/establishment whatever u may call it, only talks of Kashmiri pain but maybe not that deeply interested, they never quoted Arundhati, nor made a single movie, or tv serial on Kashmir. Maybe their own establishment is kinda infected by CIA agents and corporate mafia so much that both Indian and Pakistani establishments feels like they are on one side.

I will point out a few things here:1 Kashmir was not an independent Kingdom, it was on the Council of Princely states. Balochistan was an independent Kingdom. 2 Kashmir has the choice between living under Indian, Pakistani or Chinese rule. Aazadi, if at all they get it will last for 5 minutes.

Economic entities communicate through transfer of money. Our problem is not that businesses seek profit or consumers look for low prices. Our problem is that seeking profit aligns with causing harm. We can correct this defect by making prices honest. IF we charge hefty fees to industries when they emit pollution, deplete natural resources or destroy wildlife habitat, industries will profit by trying to *reduce* harm.
If we share proceeds from environmental impact fees to all people, we will end poverty.
Fees are high enough when we are able to take random surveys and find that most people think that this and that particular kind of impact is not being carried to excess. When environmental impacts match what most people think is acceptable, fees are high enough.

One has to admit with an honest heart, that Arundhati Roy speaks with an ease, which enviable and repulsive at the same time.. What she often dismisses as her own freedom, and the oppression by the Indian state, is her prejudice, her malicious psychological make-up, is something which the Indian state gave blood to protect, through police officers, army-men, and even civilian personnel.. It is thus imperative, that she be put in Kashmir for good, not allowed to move to write or scream, and then witness the true oppression (social, economical, political) that comes from our neighbors; this being followed after so called Azaad Kashmir..

And thats not being intelligent. Its just being clever.
I feel unadulterated fury at her shameless audacity to brazenly twist facts out of context.
You fooled a doting-drooling-hanging-on-to-your-every-word-syllable innocent audience but I sincerely hope that your parents reprimand you in private for your unabashed clever fibbing.

Ivar Hakuse 🤣 I can imagine Alice getting numbers wrong but I can’t imagine her not doing any research before the talk. I get very frustrated with her sometimes. Especially about Cuba and Israel.

brahmanas had knowledge but were barred from working for money, hence they had no wealth, there were no printing presses so knowledge was preserved through memorising huge texts which takes up a lot of time and effort, military power was held by kshatriyas, financial power was actually with the vaishyas who did business and trade. mass power was with the majority workers who were called shudras, this is how society flourished and india was the richest country of the world, accounting for more than 30% of world gdp. then 1500 years back islam appeared and started islamic invasions of india, looting the country,.plundering our wealth, destroying our temples, and killing brahmanas who were in charge of temples and were repositories of knowledge, these regular islamic invasions weakened our country and then we were enslaved by islamic occupation for hundreds of years, muslims systematically oppressed tortured and killed the brahmanas to destroy our dharma, our culture, our civilisation. our temples, our way of life, brahmanas never had any power and were oppressed by invaders and occupiers, so it is a complete fallacy to say that the poor brahmanas exploited anyone, infact brahmanas have suffered the most atrocities

Noticed that comments on ms Roy on the Flanders show talking on Gandhi have been turned off!!! Guess it’s because those who are awake, wide awake to ms Roy’s seditious statements have been denied a voice and simply got switched off!!! Weirdly her ideas there were simply rehashed plagiarisms of who she calls the Hindu Right!!! Funny!!!
Her present host here is unfortunately equally ignorant on the Kashmiri people, those Hindus who were subject to Islamic Jihad genocide and those hundreds of thousands of Hindu refugees who not only have no voice but whose voice is denied them by people like Roy. Refugees in their own land.
Educated people of India regard her as shit and she knows it, it’s easy to get standing ovations from the ignorant ms Roy please revel in it while it lasts. The host lauded ms Roy’s parents for educating her, well hurray for her parents! Welcome Roy to the world of highly educated articulate and powerful women of India, please take your seat amongst the other millions of them. You were brought up in a predominantly Hindu country where the attitude to women is different to that in Islamic countries or places with Islamic majorities such as Kashmir.
Er ms Roy are you suffering Brahminphobia!!!! ‘Cunning Brahmanical’ 11:39 hold on ms Roy!!!! Firstly you yourself admit to writing fiction! Secondly you just made a brahminphobic statement!!! You just disparaged and insulted millions of Hindus in one brush stroke!!! Easy to make statements on easy targets try an islamophobic statement!! Notice how no one else seems to have picked up on Roy’s prejudicial statement here!
People such as roy are those who have identified an international niche ie funding for human rights activism and know how to play the game well, get invited to presentations like these, get paid for 1st class air tickets, stay in 5star hotels and wine and dine. If you ask her in which way she has made a positive contribution, any project she was involved in anything on the grassroots level she has nothing to offer! Not a single act other than build expensive houses on protected national park sanctuaries!!!
