  • Learn how to crochet this quick and easy cowl. This is a free step-by-step crochet tutorial where I will teach you how to crochet this cowl from start to finish. This cowl is cozy and comfortable, the perfect diy crochet project for yourself or a gift.
    In this video I use Red Heart Soft Essentials (Charcoal).
    This pattern works with any Bulky (5) yarn so feel free to use anything you have at home. You will also need a 6.50 mm hook.
    The inspiration for all of my crochet patterns comes from the great outdoors. This pattern is called "The Whistler Cowl" after Whistler Mountain in beautiful British Columbia, Canada.

      How fun! I have been snowboarding for over 20 years and still love it. The trick is to stay balanced over your board and keep your knees bent. Thanks for watching, I hope she likes the thank you present.

    I strongly recommend using the stitch markers 😅 on both rows on the first stitch especially on the first few rows. I had to start from the beginning as I got lost in the number of stitches

      No worries, I’m starting my crochet journey. I think learning from mistakes is the best method 😀

      Very true! I am still learning and often make mistakes and have to pull out rows. When I started crocheting I never used stitch markers but have come to embrace them ❤️

    I made three of these for 3 important men in my life. This pattern takes some practice and patience and the use of stitch markers. Really love how this came out . Thanks for sharing pattern.

    Definitely need a stitch marker.Every time I do this I have to unravel a few rows because I find I've missed a stich at an end. I mean to count but you onow what they say about long made plans🙄

    Do you know how much yarn I need for this please? As i was gifted a nice skein and only have 1 of 500m / 546 yards

    • @woodcampercrochetcrafts
      @woodcampercrochetcrafts  Před rokem

      This was one of my first patterns and unfortunately I did not record the yardage. I just looked up the yarn and looks like it is discontinued but is was 120m and I used about 3 skeins so you should have enough. You could also do fewer rows if you are worried about running out of yarn. Thanks for watching. 🌲🇨🇦

    Is this a pretty warm? I made one with some front/back post double crochet and my dad is really wanting a warmer one!

      It is pretty heavy but you can also make the pattern with any yarn if you are looking for something heavier.

    Are you talking about the post? You like completely changed the terminology. I don't understand what you're doing here. So back loop then front loop or post then front loop? I have found ZERO cowl patterns that make sense on here GRRRR

    This was way to hard to get your hook in the right places. To many mistakes and I have been crocheting and intermediate at the least.

    • @woodcampercrochetcrafts
      @woodcampercrochetcrafts  Před 2 lety +3

      I am sorry to hear that you are finding the pattern difficult. I would recommend trying the yarn I use in the video. Also keep your tension loose which really helps. I hope you will give it another try. 😁
