Nothing better than watching a talented chef making an authentic dish from his home country. So simple yet delicious. This will be a staple in our house from now on :)
Aki, congratulations, you are the only Greek cook who makes meals like my Grandmother and my Mother used to make.Greek Cousine is very underrated It is a combination of East and West. Your fasolada was excelent and your revithia perfect.Keep the good work.
thanks!!!! It surely is underrated!!!
Now that short chest shield is waiting outside freezer @ 5 o'clock to be deployed as the fridge has its cover 😭😂
Two good things; simplicity of your recipes and your benevolent happy mannerism. Thank you.
The most important step: drizzle with extra virgin Greek olive oil!
Drizzle? Greeks don't drizzle the olive oil, they pour in.
@@innosanto yes
@@innosanto what’s wrong with that?
When I was young we had this soup every Good Friday ❤

I really enjoyed how to prepare & cook your authentic Greek cuisine ! & I end up cooking your way w/ a Little bit of my style but yours is also perfect since I love cooking & baking ! Enjoy every moment ! You are Blessed !
Bravo Akis!!!!
You're the best utube cook I've seen
Aki! Because of you, I’ve made TWO delicious soups in a row! For years I always said I was no good at soup - it always tasted like water that someone had washed their socks in. Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you!!!
Your recipes are always good, but I really enjoy when you bring the Greek ones. It's the reason I subscribed to this channel. This looks awesome and very appropriate for a students wallet.
thanks!!!
you all probably dont care at all but does someone know of a way to log back into an Instagram account??
I was stupid forgot my login password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me
@Darren Idris Instablaster :)
I made this soup today and it is mindblowing. So simple, with no fancy ingredients, and so delicious! I am serving a freshly baked foccacia with it :)
The soup looks delicious and the whole meal, with the bread and olives, anchovies and feta looks amazingly good.
I made this today in the morning before it got hot. Such a simple, fool-proof recipe! It tastes so light and summery! I accidentally put thyme into it but it didn't hurt at all. The extra olive oil on top before serving really makes for a delicious difference! Thanks Akis!
BTW I bought some Extra Virgin GREEK Olive Oil!!! ;-)
Aquiles Tadeu Martineli you're in the right path mate;-) 😀
Aquiles Tadeu Martineli the best lol good for you
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!
No ... Tunisian olive oil sorry :) from our village .Olive oil made by uncle Greenish earthy and strong
What I like about us the meditaranean people. The real med people ....we can not live without olive oil ..other oils just garbage ...my father s aunt died at 90 years old...her chicks always were pink like a baby ...olive oil and real honey in the morning and ofcouurse full of sea food the real not imported from asian country ...am Tunisian and I like all med people ....only med cuisine i can call cuisine the rest is a joke...follow the olive oil ...
Just like north of Africa I discovered that most of our delicious food are from Greece thank you from algeria❤️
How did you discover that?
Soumi Soumi Polish is better!.👍
@@beatapailicchi3333 nie prawda. Both North African and Polish food cultures have their own taste. U cannot compare them. But looking at the food nutrients, health etc.. mediterran food is healthier and less greasy. Papa 🇵🇱🇹🇳
I believe we can name it after assimilation, wouldnt say algerians took it from greek. Maybe it was vise versa? The only truth we have now is that every neighbouring countries in the world, have a lot of common dishes, with their own little variations. Even the same dish can have further small variation depending on the region of the country🙂
There's nothing in common between Greeks and Algerians, you forgot about Italians, French,... or our closest neighbors ;tunisians, morrocans, well we Algerians, have our own way to cook it and it's so delicious 😋
Hello, i am half greek ,my mother is from creta but i live in Belgium.
I make cook video's too. Just started😀

It is not good for cooking, only good for salads.
@@winnethepooh7986 it depends on the kind of food you are making. I find it adds a nice peppery and fruity note to what I am making without me having to add much else.
@@winnethepooh7986 why not? It's the traditional oil in these regions and the recipes lend themselves to the taste of the oil. It's not going to be nasty like making puris in olive oil man chill! Peace!
Your recipes are easy, delicious, nutritious, and affordable!
i love this guy! happy to see a new video with him in it! i will try this soup for sure

I am a very keen cook and have found so many small but outstanding small tips in Akis videos (add water and blitz onions, also add Apple to bean stew and many more small tips not found elsewhere) makes this super channel the best on CZcams!
Man U r awesome love from India
I been making for 25 years and never seen apple, well after watching this i did try, all i can say is BRAVO wow thank you and my family thanks you :)
glad you tried it!
looks so good
Will be making this! Thank you!
The apple ingredient was an absolute surprise!
Absolutely magnificent!
adding the apple is fabulous; adds such an unexpected sweetness to this savory bean soup
If I was permanently stuck on a desert island and given just one choice of food it will be Greek. Greek food is more than doner kebabs and feta. Greek food is among the most varied, healthy and tasty with countless dishes many perfect for vegetarians and even vegans. Provides all the nutrients you need (protein, vitamins, minerals, fibre), is wholesome and very moorish. When it comes to extra virgin olive oil there is but one...Greek.
Thank you so much I needed to hear this in English I appreciate
Nice recipe. Italian version is similar. We add some small pasta in the final stages of cooking. It gives a little lightness to the dish. It also goes further and is more appealing to younger children. There is no need to add salt when soaking beans as the salt actually toughens the outer husk of the bean. Bravo. :)
My mum used to make me this dish when I was a kid, damn those were the days.
Simple yet delicious
Just made this soup today, it's absolutely marvelous and easier to cook than I thought!
I made this last night along side of the stuffed eggplant! It was tasty, hearty and velvety 😃 it’s worth planning ahead for this! Thanks again!!
I'm definitely going to be making this. Looks delicious 😋
I never thought of salting the beans while they soak. Fantastic. Thank you
Thank u! ❤️
This Fasolada exist in Hungary and Transylvania but we make it with smoked pork or sausages. We serve with cream and a salad made of fine sliced onions with a little bit of vinegar and sun-flower oil(could be Extra Virgin Greek Olive Oil ,too!!!!!ha-ha!!!!)And of course bread. And there is the outside cooked version wich we call Bab-gulyas.
lovely!!

The perfect healthy meal! Love it 💕😁
Looks so good. Iraqi people cook white beans with meat a lot and we call it Yabsa and we serve it with white rice :)
niceeeee!!!
Akis great presentation. Thank you. You may want to try adding some sausage or chunks of smoked meat for a different flavour.
No, it's called Fasolia.
Roz Sa Fasolia is a word call for all kinds of beans ( Fasolia) but Yabsa is specifically dry fasolia !!
@@Tasty-Dishes Fasolia is specifically white beans that are cooked in a tomato stew in Iraq. The stew contains meat pieces. It is then served with rice. Personally, i've never heard of yabsa. We have other beans such as pakla which is basically a fava bean that are cooked differently and some areas, they're eaten for breakfast with bread etc. We also eat a lot of other legumes like lentils and chickpeas. I've never heard of lentil soup in Iraq being referred to as 'fasolia'. Where in Iraq do people refer to this particular type of stew as yabsa?
Looks so delicious, I cant wait to make this
Bravoooo! Love your way of cooking.😇
Brilliant!
Soup is wonderful! Love you Akis!
From Tennessee!!!!
Yet another Lenten recipe, thanks!
