- What is up, guys! In today's video we are unboxing, reviewing, and giving you guys an on foot look of the 2020 Jordan 1 Mid 'Light Smoke Grey', that look similar to the Jordan 1 Dior Retros. And to celebrate reaching the 1,000 Subscriber mark, we are doing a giveaway! I'm excited to be giving back to one you guys with one, size 9.5US, Jordan 1 Mid 'Chicago Black Toe' sneaker, the very first sneaker I reviewed on this channel. Congrats on the 1k, Neil and may it grow exponentially from here. Quality reviews on interesting but less-hyped new sneakers is a great niche for this channel. I follow loads of sneaker reviewers and they’ve cornered the mainstream “hyped” sneaker market and often have a more purist outlook which gets a bit repetitive tbh. Keep doing what you’re doing and all the best bro.

After getting them, I noticed the grey on the toe is steeper and tougher than other mids I own. The tongue is padded too and lacks cross stitching compared to the gym red mids. This is a good quality shoe!

Hi Neal. As a kid growing up, my father would scold me by watching black and white movies. But for $110, I don't think I would feel bad if I picked these up. My Dad might scold me if I ever bought a pair of Dior's tho, which is way out of my price range. These might make a good work shoe, but more than likely, I'll end up buying these as a gift for my brothers. Shoot, maybe I should get it for my Dad. Ha, that'll never happen cause he don't like J's. My mom would wear them. She has style. Anyway, those shoes look really good on you. I'm not super hyped for them at the moment, but I can see myself picking them up down the road. I think aj1 are true to size so you should get ur normal size

I'll definitely try to grab those when they release here in Toronto Canada, so I definitely appreciate the video recommendation. I grabbed the tee off of Nike Canada online and I just did a quick search and unfortunately they do not have it anymore, it looks like it's sold out. I believe it was the 'Nike Sportswear Essential' tee in white. I'd say I'm a true medium but I went up two sizes to an XL because I like tees boxier and oversized. I hope the helps 👊🏾

Thanks for watching and for your question! I know there are fakes for a lot of shoes out there and I'm hoping that isn't the case for your pair. If I do purchase anything resale and specifically sneakers I like going through a place like StockX where there is proof of authentication. I'd also ask for a proof of purchase receipt of the sneakers of it's an individual seller from a local listing. I hope that helps!

What if they say made in china instead of made in vietnam ?

Thank you so much for watching and for your question! I'd say the uppers on this mid are definitely quite stiff in their material and build. It's synthetic leather and vert little texture to it so it won't crease as nicely as say real tumbled leather. Still a quality sneaker though. I hope that helps!

how do you lace your shoes?
Thanks for watching and for your question man, I kept these laced as is out of box. And then I usually tie my lace knot on the inside of the shoe tongue and tuck the laces inside the sneaker. I hope that helps!

Thanks for watching Nicholas, and for your question! Ideally you should stay TTS with a Jordan 1, and this holds true for this sneaker. I had to size up one full size because of limited stock. You could pull off a full size up but even with a thicker insole and some thicker socks you would find some extra room in your sneaker. So I'd say to go with the size 12 at the most if your 11. I hope that helps man!

How are the materials on these? The pictures of it up close look cheap
Thanks for watching and for your question Reznor! The materials aren't great but I guess you could say they are good and expected for a mass produced Jordan 1 Mid. All synthetic leather on the uppers and a really thin nylon shoe tongue. Not the best insole. But they've got the standard J1 cushioning system and outsole traction. Overall an economical J1 in a really nice and clean colorway. I hope that helps!
