I did not like the look and feel of Wix profiles and created custom profiles on my site from scratch using a ton of code. It was long and difficult but I think I almost got it polished where it needs to be. Had to get very creative. 😅

hey so suppose i create a forum how do i redirect them to our made profiles and not the wix made ones?
Hey, great question - this is one of the challenges with customizing on the member area on Wix as all of the business solutions are linked to the old profiles.
You probably can set up a redirect from the account pages to the new account pages either using wixLocation or possible a 301 redirect (Sometimes 301 redirects don't work so well on Wix app pages).

The "create new" feature doesn't work for me. Clicking it just sends me back to the homepage.
I would check to make sure the button isn't linked via the no code linking setting.
Thanks this is very helpful for creating the actual profile and profile update page! Easy to follow and understand. However, some things are currently available on the built-in Wix "accounts page" that I'm not sure how my members would be able to edit. Eg. Login info (change password and login email). As well as "visibility & privacy". Do you have a video showing how to give them access to update "login info" & "visibility and privacy"? Also, do you have a video on "connecting" or "following" other members from the Custom members list?

Nice but will have one issue is how to change the profile url on other Apps such as forum or blogs to the new member profile page, if there any solution?
That's a good point. You may be able to set up a redirect. I might change some aspects of the system architecture of compatibility with those apps was a requirement.

Can you help me with wix triggered email with custom form, I have a multi-state box which stores the data to a collection at the end of submission. I'm trying to set up an email trigger whenever this form is submitted but it keeps giving bad request error.

This is super helpful for me. I did have a question, is there a way to add in the tabs that connect to My Orders, My Wallet, and the such that comes with the wix basic profile pages?
Each of those pages has a unique url. You can link to them just like any other page of your site.
@@thewixwiz Do you happen to have a tutorial on how to create your own Tabs with the My Account, My Orders, My Wallet, etc tabs? I don't like the way Wix has theirs set up but I don't know javacode well enough to figure it out on my own (or I can but it'll take me forever). I can limp my way through though hahaha This is the last thing I need to figure out before I can be done lol
Hi Eitan, I noticed an issue with the dasboard it shows only one users data but only works if there is only one user in the database, we need to use the owner_id to show the data of the logged in user

Hi< I have an important thing to ask you, I have been trying to create or find a way to add or create a tool for internal linking inside of wix, chat gpt said you can use it using Velo, but i don't understand how to do it, YOU WOULD BECOME A LEGEND IF YOU SHOW US HOW TO DO IT.
here is the idea, create a chrome plugin or a system using velo, where you can semantically add internal links inside your wix site, for example, you have a field where you can add all your links and the system would semantically add this links to existing pages and blog posts, (when necessary).
Can you do something like this Wiz?
Hmm there is a Velo API for blog posts, so technically should be possible. I would double check about inserting links with the API.

@@thewixwiz Hey Eiton, if you connect Wix Paid Plans as features to a wix events - the event details and registrations page gets altered detailing the paid plans and the available tickets. However, it has a very weird connection with the wix created CMS collections for the same - hence making a dynamic page for Wix Events which also includes those two as features is terribly complicated in my opinion.
@@thewixwiz Another great topic idea, off the top of my head is, the new wix member pages took a, thought faster than the previous version, step back and started mentioning the member names within the URLs - making any pages simply unlikable externally i.e. posting the member or creating a default link for the customer's profile, purchases, subscriptions, etc have gotten quite tricky with the update.
