Rest well Nana Kwame Ampadu..this song makes me miss my Grandma Maame Afia Foriwaa so much. She taught me all I know as a woman. Will forever hold you dear to my heart ❤️
Ghanaian Born, but grew up in the US since age 3. I knew very little Twi but Dad played African Brothers Band constantly. I loved every song by Ampadu and met him at a concert in NYC many years ago. I am grateful that the universe allowed me to hear such eloquent music from my country.. I cried when I heard Nana Ampadu passed.
Nigerian born. Living in Texas since 1981. I remember these motherland heroes like it was yesterday: Dr Gyasi, Nana Ampadu, Okukuseke, City Boys, Ramblers, Eddie Donkor, and then comes Castro and Babe Jet-Gyan. I guess I am a Ghanaian music lover.❤
Back in 1993 in Maiduguri northern Nigeria while i was still serving my master as an apprentice as igbo Biafran boy.i used to listen to all this ghana music from one oga mike then when ghanians still full Nigeria, each time he mr mike bring a Ghanian lady for overnight because of the joy the must have given him in the night and the love he has for this particular one (AKOOSA) by name who is heavily endowed on the backside he will just put the track of this aftican brothers by the name AGATHA.😂😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤😅😅😅😅😅.
One song I used to listen almost every night before I go to bed when I was in Ghana. Idk why but I just love to listen as many time I can just to make me emotional and reflect on my life. Such a legendary..Keep resting daddy 😭😭😭😭🥺🥺🇬🇧
My dad was a DJ in his youthful age and introduced us to old highlife songs. I love them all, but Nana Ampadu stood out. I just his talent and became my preferred King of Highlife. I'm still listening to him in 2022 and I'm 37 years old now. Brilliant musician 👏
Time is not on our side on this earth ,let us do something as quick as possible. If Nana Ampadu is no more with us,it says a lot to the living. Let us leave a good legacy.
I listened to an interview where he narrated some unfortunate incidents about his devt as a child - delay in walking, diminutive nature etc. Today, you have succeed to overcome your childhood failings with your voice and eloquence. You have no idea how much you impacted, motivated and role-modelled lives of millions all over the world. RIP Nana.
One can't stop listening to these Song . Nana wherever you are May the Almighty God enshrine his blessings on you and keep you among us until thy Kingdom Come.
You're my dad's favorite, he died in 1989 when I was just six. Anytime I hear this it reminds me Soo much of him. Rest well Nana Ampadu, regards to my Dad
