Carros is an incredible medieval village! Well set against the mountains and the sea. Too bad Twiggy got car sick but the walk in the village appeared to have revived her. The restaurant and the menu were spoken for and the price made it all worth it. Keep on finding new things for us to discover and best wishes until next Sunday!

What a gorgeous drive! Loved it! I adore how the French are so pet-friendly allowing animals in just about everywhere. Poor Twigs getting sick. After the clean up, I had to giggle that Tim needed the hard candy peppermint! Ha ha ha....(I would have too!) That meal was incredible. All these lovely little places tucked away with these incredible menu's. I have always loved road trips having been on many in my youth, sitting in the backseat of one of my Dad's many VW vehicles! Imagine doing the Garden Route in South Africa in a VW bug with the three of us kiddies taking turns sitting in that back cubby! One of many many adventures that continued when we moved to Canada in '67....(and our chihuahua 'Chico' went on all of them!)

@@MeandMonAmi Tim, the Garden Route looks very much like the South of France ! The beaches are known as the St. Tropez of Africa...The only difference is that there are not many as options to stop and eat at a restaurant. I think it's picnic lunch at lay-by's until you reach a town....You go through vineyards, beautiful mountains, gardens and forests, and are right up against the two oceans (Indian and Atlantic). And if you are lucky, you can catch whales, porpoises, penguins, flying fish....And you can actually SEE where the oceans meet!

Wow thanks for another delightful and magical recharge! And all regurgitations considered, Twiggy Mr. Boo and you were all pretty good sports about it. That lunch, something to savoir in images alone just what one would expect of a perfect French lunch! And, at 15:20, what a delightful and unexpected find, a 77' golden Golden Eagle Jeep with the original hood decal! I had one just like it after High School. I took a Armenian Mormon girl on a date in it. She had quite memorable set of fenders too, and I seem recall back in 78', Cessna introduced their new 'Golden Eagle' luxury aircraft model, the movie stars used to buy with an promo photo that included a Jeep Golden Eagle with that same 70s earth-tones and hideous orange trim. Btw Tim, the hat is very approprié and a good look for you.

You do find some great villages and cafes. Always interesting with the history, people sized roads (ie not built for cars) and food. Thanks once more for bring use these videos.

Wonderful video. Foire-Gras is delightful. If you go to a farm which produces it you will see the geese (or ducks) run to be fed - they don't think it's cruel, they just love a good feed as much as you or I. I'm jealous 'cos we sold our Breton house and are reduced to visiting he Cote Suavage for a few days this year, otherwise stuck in Blighty. Oh for the cuisine of the South!.

Mmmm, a special restaurant with many specialties! Oh yes, I remember the "face plant" episode at IKEA. That was a delicious-looking meal, even if it did involve goose torture, "calf-icide," and the devouring of baby vegetables. Twiggy recovered enough from her carsickness to have a good barking match with the restaurant owner's chihuahua. Thank you for another magical episode in the mountain top villages of southern France.

Another fantastic video. What a stunning village. I always get hungry watching your amazing meals (going to cook Chinese now using leftover chicken - with sticky toffee pudding for afters). Hope that Twiggy was ok going back home. Many of my dogs over the years have got carsick (I always travelled with a ‘sick bag’, with baby wipes, kitchen roll, plastic bag ).

We are staying in Nice and went to Villefranche-sur-mer yesterday. Absolutely loving it but I bet your glad you have the Ami as the public transport is just about unusable as it is soooo overcrowded. The train back from Monaco was just bonkers! Just gutted we didn't bump into you both.
Oh Bugger we were in Villefranche tonight and bumped into quite a few subscribers. TBH we are on our bikes around town now as parking is so difficult at this time of year also

Carros! I stayed there for quite some time. Lovely spot that haunts my memories. LaForge is outstanding. I didn't have lunch there, but dinner. The dinner is correspondingly more expensive with wine. Maybe $125 per person? But that's normal for a perfectly wonderful, memorable dinner. I will be going back there to pay my respects in October. Just typing that makes me excited. But I can also strongly recommend the Creperie du Moment that you showed. It's hard to have other crepes after eating there.

Bonsoir mes amis d'espagne. That cheese bouchée with what looked like green angelica was mouthwatering. The entire meal from whichever plate, looked worth the journey. It is currently 36° here and I'm glad we have solar panels which enable me to have the a/c on in the office. Restez chargé et restez au frais.

This is out off context but as I am fiddling within my new Starlink satellite system, finding the right adapter for the dish to support bracket when putting it up on a pole is not that easy. Harbor freight do one but not sure yet which one I need. Could your 3D printing business make some up , perhaps to order? Just a thought.

If we god didn’t want humans to eat veal and duck etc the god shouldn’t have made them out of meat he is all knowing after all and never makes mistakes
Perhaps a hint in the title of your outings about eating out will create a bit more 'Curiosity' and the all important click, to potential viewers? Glad you've made the ten thousand. Not sure why my wife and I look forward to your Sunday evening showing but we do. Twiggy looks more settled, Mr Boo, Too. That food looked good enough to eat, I had to go to the kitchen and find a stale crust to chew on. Not sure foie gras is any more uncomfortable to the geese than many other animal rearing practices. We live in France and see the many programs that show it being practiced and don't notice any untoward suffering to the geese when being filled up with corn and it's certainly nowhere near as bad as the much more inhumain factory farming of chicken and pigs and the like that most of the hypocrites choose to ignore.
